Orphans' Christmas Dinner
We are having an  "Orphans' Christmas Dinner"  this week on Christmas Day for EE residents. The dinner will be at the Ramada  at  1 pm . Join your friends and neighbors in a traditional Christmas meal, with everyone pitching in, potluck style. If you'd like to attend, please call Cyndie Alto , 509-881-7569, call or text. Cyndie is keeping a signup sheet of attendees and dishes.  Hope you can join in the Christmas fun!
Pool Temperature Has Been Raised and It's Like a Spa!
The Board voted at the meeting last Monday to increase the water temperature at our pool to 87 degrees, up from the long time previous setting of 84. It's already been raised, and one EE Water Baby reports that "it's wonderful...like a spa!" This will continue for a period of 3 months, during which the additional natural gas costs will be monitored. At the end of that period a decision will be made as to continuing that setting or making additional adjustments. This change was made following a presentation of the results of a general pool usage survey by Kathy Lindeman and a committee working with her that reflected a higher water temperature was desired by a significant portion of EE residents.
Dog Poop...Yuk!!!
What's  worse than stepping in dog poop on your morning walk....or cleaning it up out of your front yard??  Double Yuk!!  Most EE pet owners are responsible and clean up after their dogs.  However, there must be a few who don't, because that darned dog poop is piling up again!  Please carry a bag with you on your walks to pick up your dog's leave-behinds....and then deposit it in your own trash.  And, please remember that dogs need to be on a leash. Thanks from the Poop Patrol.

Probable "E" Threats
Craig Surprise has passed on information regarding threats to our electronic security that we should be aware of.

First, a recent article in ZDNet warns us to avoid using outdoor gas pay-at-the pump credit card readers that have not yet been upgraded to the newer "chip" enhanced technology.  Cards that have been reissued with a "chip" provide added security. Here's the article...

And, Netflix issued a warning to its customers that scammers are sending out phishing emails asking them to update their billing information. If you suspect that an email or text you have received that appears to be from Netflix might be fraudulent, follow these tips to keep your information secure:
  • Never enter your login credentials or financial details after following a link in an email or text message. If unsure of the legitimacy of Netflix website, type www.netflix.com directly into your web browser.
  • Never click on any links or open any attachments in an email or text message you received unexpectedly, regardless of the source.
  • If you suspect an email or text message is not from Netflix, delete and do not reply.
