EE HOA Board Meeting
Monthly EE HOA Board meetings will resume next week on Monday, September 21, at 1 pm, via Zoom online call.  Meeting details and instructions for connecting with Zoom will be sent out prior to the meeting.  Throughout the "season," Board meetings are held on the third Monday each month at 1 pm.  Residents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Political Signs
Unless you've been hibernating in the Himalayas, you've noticed that 2020 is an election year. are the rules for displaying political signs...
  • Political signs are allowed by state law that HOAs cannot overrule via their internal regulations - CC&Rs, etc.. Arizona law has been changed since the last national election to confirm this.
  • Signs can support a candidate(s), a proposition or other initiative that requires voter approval. They can also urge eligible persons to register to vote, and to follow through and actually vote.
  • Signs can be no larger than 9 square feet and must be kept in respectable condition.
  • Signs can go up no earlier than 71 days prior to election day and must be taken down within 3 days of the election.
  • Signs must be on your own property attached to your own residence/wall, or in the area between your home and the sidewalk. This is the area in what would be your "yard" if ours were individual lots. This includes the space between quad homes and the driveway.  This allowance does not include common area parks, access pathways between homes, or the area between the sidewalks and the streets.
  • Please respect everyone's right to free speech, and do not remove signs from a neighbor's yard.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.  Please contact Dave Sielken, HOA Board President, with questions.

Reserving the Ramada
Did you know that EE's Sunset Ramada is available for residents to use for group gatherings? It is, but it needs to be reserved. You can check for availability and reserve it by writing the date and hours of your event on the calendar located on the bulletin board at the Ramada.  Of course, it's expected that your group will leave the Ramada clean and return all the furniture to its proper places.  Also, please observe Pima County advisories regarding wearing masks and social distancing.  Thanks for your cooperation!
Book Club
Message From Linda Sielken
We will have our first EE Book Club meeting on Tuesday, October 13, in the Ramada at 1 pm.  I will ask you to wear masks and sit with a sensible amount of distance between each of you.  There are plenty of tables to use!  We will be reading Every Note Played by Lisa Genova.  I will lead this book.  I have some ideas for this season of reading, and I'm guessing that many of us have been reading A LOT since February.  Hence you have ideas for books!  So, come prepared with some of your favorites.
Pen & Pencil Doodling Activity This Wednesday
The Pen & Pencil Doodling activity was a hit last week. There will be another session next Wednesday, Sept 16, 3 pm, in the Ramada. This activity puts focus on your personal thoughts and life experiences. No contests, no analysis, no judgment....just contemplation, relaxation and fun. You'll need to bring a pen or pencil and any kind of paper, plus your memories of people, places and things you've experienced.  Please wear a mask and social distancing is observed. Call Lila Stoffel with questions, 218-731-7694.
Driver's License Renewals
Source:  Green Valley Council Weekly Message, September 10, 2020
The Governor announced last week that if your driver's license is set to expire, or did expire, between March 1 and December 31 of this year, your driver's license renewal period will be extended for a year. We have heard that you can get your license renewed if you go to the Motor Vehicle's substation in the mall where Desert Sky is located, knock on the door and politely ask for an appointment at a future date, the employees will make that appointment for you. Several people have reported renewing their licenses following that process. If you go, masks are mandatory even though that area is technically Sahuarita. Yes, you can wait for the year's reprieve to expire but will you remember?

I bet you would be really motivated if the weight you lost went to somebody you didn't like.

Dad:  Do you know why we wash our hair with shampoo?
Me:  No Dad, why?
Dad:  Because no one would want to use regular poo.

And the teachers simply whispered back, "You're."
