EE Pool News
We are expecting the pool repair folks to be out Monday (today) afternoon to fix our pool cover.  Keep your fingers crossed!
Also, Big Kudos and Thanks to Tom Cooke for managing our pool and spa.  Tom volunteers a lot of his time working to keep the pool and spa in good shape and responding to residents' questions and concerns.  As you can imagine, managing the pool and spa issues are no small task.  We have a super pool...Thanks so much Tom!!
Thank You to the EE Holiday Decorators
Wow, have you seen the beautiful holiday decorations around the neighborhood....at the Ramada, in our parks, on our lamp posts, and on our homes!  Our Lamp Post Elves (Jackie and Gary Rautio) decorated around 65 lamp posts; the EE Enhancement team is responsible for many of the decorations at the Ramada and parks; and, Kevin and Linda Welsh put up the lovely nativity scene at the pizza oven.  And, that doesn't include mention of all the beautiful decorations EE residents put up on their lamp posts and homes.  Thank you to everyone who has made our Holiday so much more cheerful!
Hospitality Committee Contribution to Food Bank
It was announced in the last EEHOA Board Meeting that our EE Hospitality committee has donated $500 to our local Food Bank. The donation was made from funds the Hospitality group raised from their committee activities (not from HOA dues).  The food banks are all struggling and this donation will be very helpful in meeting some of the needs of the community. This was a tremendous goodwill gesture on the behalf of our EE neighborhood, thanks Hospitality Committee!
The Night Before Christmas in Green Valley
T'was the night before Christmas
and all through the street
Javelinas were looking for something to eat
The stockings were hung on the end of a chair
because in the desert a chimney is rare
Now, I in my undies with cat on my lap
had just settled down for a short winters nap
The rest of my cats were asleep on the bed
while visions of finches now danced in their head
When out on the street there arose such a clatter
I picked up my glock to see what was the matter
Away to the window I flew like a rock
the cats were so startled they went into shock
As the moon cast its light on the desert below
it sparkled so bright that it looked just like snow
Then what to my wondering eyes did I see?
Santa came running and yelling to me
"I'm looking for Rudolph, he's guiding my sleigh"
"We stopped at McDonalds and he ran away".
I saw in the distance a small glowing light
And soon we had Rudolph with nose shining bright
Without hesitation Old Santa did fly
to sit in his sleigh with a wink of his eye
he jumped to his feet saying "Now we must go"
And waved to the creatures all gathered below
He yelled from his sleigh as he rose out of sight
"Merry Christmas Green Valley, to all a good night!"

FUNNY BONE

A SAD MINNESOTA PASSING
Friends, this is almost too sad to forward, but I felt I should. Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community.
The Pillsbury Doughboy died last week in Minneapolis of a yeast infection and traumatic complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.
Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin, and dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects.  The guest list included Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The gravesite was piled high with flours.

THINGS TO PONDER....
1. If a bottle of poison reaches its expiration date, is it more poisonous or is it no longer poisonous?
2. Which letter is silent in the word "Scent," the S or the C?
3. Do twins ever realize that one of them is unplanned?
4. Why is the letter W in English called double U? Shouldn't it be called double V?
5. Maybe oxygen is slowly killing you and it just takes 75-100 years to fully work.
6. Every time you clean something, you just make something else dirty.
7. The word "swims" upside-down is still "swims"
8. 100 years ago, everyone owned a horse and only the rich had cars. Today everyone has cars and only the rich own horses.

FOUR GREAT CONFUSIONS STILL UNRESOLVED....
1. At a movie theater, which arm rest is yours?
2. If people evolve from monkeys, why are monkeys still around?
3. Why is there a 'D' in fridge, but not in refrigerator?
4. Who knew what time it was when the first clock was made?

VAGARIES OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE....
Ever wonder why the word funeral starts with FUN?
Why isn't a Fireman called a Water-man?
How come Lipstick doesn't do what it says?
If money doesn't grow on trees, how come Banks have Branches?
If a Vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a Humanitarian eat?
How do you get off a non-stop Flight?
Why are goods sent by ship called CARgo and those sent by truck SHIPment?
Why do we put cups in the dishwasher and the dishes in the Cupboard?
Why do doctors 'practice' medicine? Are they having practice at the cost of the patients?
Why is it called 'Rush Hour' when traffic moves at its slowest then?
How come Noses run and Feet smell?
Why do they call it a TV 'set' when there is only one?
What are you vacating when you go on a vacation?
Did you know that if you have What, When and Where and then replace the "W's" with T's the questions are answered?

COMMENTS AND TRUTHS ON 2020

The dumbest thing I ever bought was a 2020 planner.

I was so bored I called Jake from State Farm just to talk to someone. He asked me what I was wearing.

2019: Stay away from negative people.

2020: Stay away from positive people.

The world has turned upside down. Old folks are sneaking out of the house & their kids are yelling at them to stay indoors!

This morning I saw a neighbor talking to her dog. It was obvious she thought her dog understood her. I came into my house & told my cat. We laughed a lot.

Every few days try your jeans on just to make sure they fit. Pajamas will have you believe all is well in the kingdom.

Does anyone know if we can take showers yet or should we just keep washing our hands?

This virus has done what no woman has been able to do. Cancel sports, shut down all bars & keep men at home!

I never thought the comment, "I wouldn't touch him/her with a 6-foot pole" would become a national policy, but here we are!

I need to practice social-distancing from the refrigerator.

I hope the weather is good tomorrow for my trip to the backyard. I'm getting tired

of the Living Room.

Appropriate analogy. "The curve is flattening so we can start lifting restrictions now" is like saying, "The parachute has slowed our rate of descent, so we can take it off now."

Never in a million years could I have imagined I would go up to a bank teller wearing a mask & asking for money.

The spread of COVID-19 is based on 2 things....How dense the population is, and.......How dense the population is.
