We're having Happy Hour this week, Friday, June 25, 4 pm. at the Ramada.  Going forward, we'll have Happy Hour every other Friday.  Everyone is welcome.  As has become our Happy Hour custom, it will be a "No Host"gathering....
  • Bring your own drinks
  • If you'd like, bring an appetizer to share
  • Bring your own eating utensils, paper plates, etc.
  • After, everyone helps clean up the Ramada
  • Most important, have a great time!!
We'll observe the currently recommended Covid protocol for outdoor gatherings.  If you are vaccinated, you don't have to mask or social distance, unless you have underlying conditions, then do what's right for you.  It's recommended that non-vaccinated people continue to observe masking and social distancing.

Look forward to seeing you!!
Reminder To Trim the Tall Palms
From Cyndie Alto
Just another friendly reminder about getting your tall palms trimmed.  The deadline in Esperanza Estates is June 30. The dry fronds are a fire hazard during monsoon season, and a spark can catch them on fire in an instant.  Homeowners can hire anyone they desire to do the work.  EE has an agreement with Monstrosity Tree Service, 520-230-7131, for $80/tree which they will honor for everyone in EE. Trees untrimmed by June 30 will be trimmed by the HOA, and homeowners will be billed $90/tree.  Please call Cyndie Alto, 509-881-7569 ,with questions.  Thanks to everyone who has already taken care of their palms!
CARING CONNECTIONS
Karyn Grob
There will be a gathering to honor and celebrate the life of neighbor Karen Grob, who passed away recently.  Everyone is invited to come to the Esperanza Estates Ramada, Portillo and Ensalmo, at 8:00 -10:00 am on June 26.  Karyn's sisters will be there, as well as neighbors and friends. Bring a cup of coffee and a memory of Karyn. Early morning snacks and juice will be provided.

Source: Best Life, March 26, 2021
With around 200 countries and more than 7.8 billion people (plus plants, animals, and other organisms), the world is full of interesting, fun, and fascinating facts. In the land of the Kiwis, for instance, you'll find the highest concentration of pet owners on the planet. And over in Nicaragua, you'll find one of the only two flags in the world to feature the color purple. Hungry for more facts about the world and its ever-growing population? Check this out to learn some interesting trivia about the Earth's past, present, and future.  Here are a few.....
  • Glaciers and ice sheets hold about 69 percent of the world's freshwater.
  • The fastest gust of wind ever recorded on Earth was 253 miles per hour.
  • Recent droughts in Europe were the worst in 2,100 years.
  • The best place in the world to see rainbows is in Hawaii.
  • Whale songs can be used to map out the ocean floor.

FUNNY BONE
Groaners
Thanks neighbor, Al Prato....
  • Why do milking stools only have 3 legs?  Because the cow has the udder.
  • Why do raccoons eat out of trash cans?  Because they can't tip over a supermarket.
  • I accidentally swallowed some food coloring.  I feel like I've dyed a little on the inside.
  • A truck load of Vicks Vapor Rub overturned on the highway.  Amazingly, there was no congestion for 8 hours.

Thanks neighbor, Larry Ogren....

  • You know you're getting old when a recliner and a heaating pad is your idea of a hot date.
