Theft of Yard Art
Sadly, yard art has been stolen recently in our Esperanza Estates neighborhood.  Theft from our yards has been rare in EE, as w e have always been such a safe and crime-free neighborhood.  If you experience a theft, please report it to the Sheriff's office.  Also, if you observe strangers and suspicious appearing activities, please report it to a Board Member or local authorities.  With our combined vigilance we can discourage this activity.
Work at the Ramada
Last week we commented that the recent work at the Ramada cost $2500, paid for by the Enhancement Team.  We need to clarify that the work included both the cement work near the storage area by the pool and replacement of pavers near the Ramada entrance.  That $2500 of Enhancement dollars went to great use!  Thanks again, Enhancement Team!
Tucson Utility Services
Did you catch the little paragraph on the back of the Utility Services of Tucson bill, or see their email message?  As of  June 17 a new payment system requires all  current AutoPay and eBill/paperless customers to create an account in the new system to continue automatic payments and/or access their bill electronically.   If you missed that, it might have caused you to miss a payment.
Dick Rose
If you were the beneficiary of Dick Rose's well stocked pantry and freezer you can send him a thank you at 5665 E River Road, #21, Tucson, AZ. He should have his  phone number connected there soon. He would love to hear from you.

Dean Hess
Message from Mary Hess...."Because of the surge in Coronavirus cases and the Governor's orders, the number of people permitted to participate in the memorial service on July 18, at 10 am, at the Evangelical Free Church is limited to fifty in the sanctuary.  Invitations will be necessary.  A live feed hook up will be available via the church web page as an alternative way to participate.  We considered postponing it, but family members had already purchased air tickets and we need to have closure.  We still plan to have the light lunch at the Ramada following the service, observing social distancing.  Somewhere out there Dean is smiling."

Caring Connections is where we  share news about EE neighbors who are experiencing serious health issues, a difficult life event , or other information about the neighborhood,  so neighbors can connect and offer a hand or send a message of cheer.   I f   you know of a situation or would like to inform neighbors about your own situation, please contact Judy Hayes at 720-201-9260,, with the information and any special requests or needs.   MMM will follow up with the affected parties to obtain approval to mention it in the newsletter.

Found Pool Key
On Sunday,Tom Cooke found a pool key in the gravel just inside of the pool gate attached to a fob in the form of the Eiffel tower.  He left it on the table under the porch just outside the men's changing room.
A man wrote a letter to a small hotel in a Midwest town he planned to visit on his vacation. He wrote: "I would very much like to bring my dog with me. He is well-groomed and very well behaved. Would you be willing to permit me to keep him in my room with me at night?"
An immediate reply came from the hotel owner, who wrote: "Sir: I've been operating the hotel for many years. In all that time, I've never had a dog steal towels, bed clothes, silverware or steal pictures off the walls or use them as a coloring book. I've never had to evict a dog in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly, and I've never had a dog run out on a bill."
"Yes, indeed, your dog is welcome at my hotel. And, if your dog will vouch for you, you're welcome to stay here, too."

During a recent password audit by a company, it was found that an employee was using the following password:
" MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDewe yDonaldGoofySacramento"
When asked why she had such a long password, she rolled her eyes and said:
"Hello! It has to be at least eight characters and include at least one capital."

A man was telling his neighbor, "I just bought a new hearing aid. It cost me four thousand dollars, but it's state of the art. It's perfect."
"Really," answered the neighbor. "What kind is it?"
"Twelve thirty."

Yesterday my husband thought he saw a cockroach in the kitchen.  He sprayed everything down and cleaned thoroughly.  Today I'm putting the cockroach in the bathroom.
