NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS
Friday Happy Hour, 7/23, 4 pm
No-host Happy Hour is this Friday, July 23, 4 pm at the Ramada.  Everyone brings their own drinks and tableware.  If you'd like to, bring an appetizer to share.  We eat, drink, be merry, and then everyone helps straighten up the Ramada.  It looks like there is more monsoon activity forecasted for next week to keep temps cooler.  Hope you can join in!
Mice Under Your Pavers
Last week we asked if anyone had advice about preventing mice under pavers.  Here's s what Tudor McCook commented:
Just a thought for your mouse problem:
For ANTs in our patio and garden, I put our daily coffee grounds on the hole. They hate it and they MOVE away that day.  I'll bet that would work for mice too.
If you can find a hole or point of entry, stuff it with  a wad of rough steel wool. They will NOT chew through that, guaranteed.
Steel wool sounds like it might do the trick.  Thanks Tudor!
Food Donations
Thanks to everyone who has contributed food to our Ramada food pantry box.  Just a reminder... we can use only non-perishable food (such as cans or packaged dried food)....please no perishable or fresh food.  We have to dispose of anything perishable.  As you can imagine, perishable food spoils very quickly.
Unapproved Dumping
From Dave Sielken, HOA President
Sadly, we're having a problem with folks adding excess personal trash to the trash at the Ramada.  Adding personal trash to the HOA's weekly collection is not allowed. The foam mattress padding added to Thursday's collection in this picture is a recent example. If you have a special need, please reach out. Please don't jeopardize our relationship/deal with Titan.
Parking RV's, Boats, and Trailers
From Dave Sielken, EEHOA President
Last week it was mentioned in the MMM that parking RV's, boats, and trailers is limited to only 48 hours on the street of Esperanza Estates.  I would add one supplement about parking, as I think that some people are not aware of the additional limit to the number of 'visits'.  9.2.1 of the CCRs, as amended in 2013, states that these 'brief stops' of 48 hours max can only be allowed 4 times in any calendar quarter and total no more than 8 times per calendar year.  In addition, moving the vehicle/trailer to another spot does not constitute removing the vehicle and does not extend the 48 hour limit.
MMM Schedule
For the remainder of July, August, and the first half of September, the MMM will be published only every-other-week.  Typically, life is pretty slow in EE during the summer.  After today's issue, the next MMM will be published on August 2.   We will resume weekly MMM editions after Labor Day on Monday, September 13.  In the meantime, we'll send out e-blast emails, if anything comes up that needs immediate communication.
