2021 Board Member Election.....
Last Call to Get Your Name in the Hat!
From Ken Lindeman
Last Call!  I need to print ballots. The way to get on the Esperanza Estates HOA board is to put your name in the hat and get it printed on the ballot.  Esperanza Estates is run by a volunteer "Home Owners Association" versus a paid management company.  I am again encouraging residents to volunteer and bring your talents to this board by entering your name into the upcoming election.  Please contact me, Ken Lindeman, at 970-577-3395 or email me at eesecy@gmail.com it you would like to have your name on the 2021 ballot.  Thank you.
Gardeners
From Mary Harp
The Gardeners will meet on Tuesday,  December 1, from 9:00 until approx. 10:30 a.m. at the EE Trail opening across from 834 W. Vereda Calma.  This work party will clean up the narrow section of the EE Trail.  Bring tools you want to work with, wear a mask and social distance.  Rod Harp is off for a few weeks, so Mary Grgich has volunteered for this week.  P.S.  All EE Trail users are invited to help as well.
Women's Pickleball is Back!
Woman's Pickleball is starting up again this week.  The group meets on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:00 am at the Pickleball Courts. If you have any questions please call Patty Tracy 520-444-4472.
Attention Neighborhood Block Captains!
The update to the Block Sheets for the 2021 EE Directory are due by December 10.  Karen White, Neighborhood Watch Chairman, has been out of town on family business, but will be back on December 4.  Please call Karen, 503-374-1730, to arrange for her to pick up your Block Sheets, or call Cheri Day, 303-594-3314, to arrange a time to drop them off to Cheri.  Thanks!
Decorated Lamp Posts are Starting to Show Up!
It's time to "spiff up" your lamp post for the holiday!  EE has a long-standing tradition of decorating our street light posts for the holiday season from Thanksgiving to New Years. If you don't have the time or the energy, or you aren't here during the holidays, you can enlist the aid of the Enhancement Elves. They will decorate your post for just $10 if you already have the decorations, or $15 if you don't.  If you need a plug adapter for the lamp socket, the charge is an additional $2.00, but the adapter is then yours. The charge includes both putting up and removing the decorations. The Elves start decorating November 23 and the deadline for requesting this service is December 5.  (Santa has first dibs on the Elves after that.)  If you want the Elves to work their magic at your lamp post, call Jackie Rautio at 520-269-7864 or 602-206-3354. They do extremely nice work.
Mark Your Calendars:  Jingle Bells Golf Cart Parade,  December 17
The First Annual Esperanza Estates Christmas Jingle Bells Golf Cart Parade will be December 17.  The parade is a caravan of EE residents who gather in vehicles (masked and appropriately distanced apart) and snake through our neighborhood....waving, honking, shouting "Merry Christmas" greetings, and generally sending good cheer and blessings to all in Esperanza Estates.  Similar to our Turkey Trot Parade, but for Christmas!
CARING CONNECTIONS
Dr. Alex Stoeffel
We are very sad to report that Dr. Alex Stoffel, Regalo, died at age 88 in Tucson's St. Joseph's Hospital on Tuesday, November 17.  Our sincere condolences to Alex's wife, Lila, and his family.  There are no services planned at this time.  Read Alex's obituary here.

Caring Connections is a way to share information about EE neighbors who may be experiencing a health crisis or need a little pick me up so neighbors can reach out to provide assistance.  If you know of a situation, please call Judy Hayes, 720-201-9260, or email jkhayes70@gmail.com.

I've come to a point in my life where I'm wondering why underpants don't have pockets.

Just heard the King of Spain has been quarantined on his private jet.
That means the reign in Spain stays mainly on the plane.

Today I saw a dwarf climbing down a prison wall.
I thought to myself, "That's a little condescending,"

A couple made a deal that whoever died first would come back and inform the other if there is sex after death. Their biggest fear was that there was no afterlife at all.

After a long life together, the husband was the first to die. True to his word, he made the first contact: "Marion, Marion."

"Is that you, Bob?"

"Yes, I've come back like we agreed."

"That's wonderful! What's it like?"

"Well, I get up in the morning, I have sex. I have breakfast and then it's off to the golf course. I have sex again, bathe in the warm sun and then have sex a couple of more times.. Then I have lunch (you'd be proud -- lots of greens). Another romp around the golf course, then pretty much have sex the rest of the afternoon. After supper, it's back to the golf course again.

Then it's more sex until late at night. I catch some much-needed sleep and then the next day it starts all over again".

"Oh, Bob! Are you in Heaven?"

"No... I'm a rabbit somewhere in Arizona."
