2024 Board Member Election.....

Last Call to Get Your Name in the Hat!

From Ken Lindeman

Last Call! I need to print ballots. The way to get on the Esperanza Estates HOA board is to put your name in the hat and get it printed on the ballot.  Esperanza Estates is run by a volunteer "Home Owners Association" versus a paid management company.  I am again encouraging residents to volunteer and bring your talents to this board by entering your name into the upcoming election.  Please contact me, Ken Lindeman, at 970-577-3395 or email me at eesecy@gmail.com it you would like to have your name on the 2024 ballot.  Thank you.

Time to Decorate Those Lamp Posts

From Jackie Rautio

Don’t be a Grinch. EE has a long-standing tradition of decorating our street light posts for the holiday season from Thanksgiving to New Years.

For newcomers, you will need the electrical plug-in to go in the socket In the lamp. If the lamp does not already have one, you can purchase one at a local hardware store or Walmart. This will allow you to plug in your string of lights and they light when your lamp comes on at dusk. You then can creatively decorate your post. You will see a beautiful sight after the sun goes down.

If you are unable to take on this decorating task, we have Enhancement Elves volunteers to assist you. They will decorate your post for just $15 if you supply the decorations. $25 if we supply the decorations and an additional charge for the adapter if you need one. Everything belongs to you when we take the decorations down.

The Elves are very busy this time of the year and we would appreciate volunteers to train and help out on the project in addition to our Enhancement group.

We start right after Thanksgiving and the deadline for requesting this service is December 3.

WHEN: December 25, 2023

TIME: 1:00 pm

WHERE: Ramada

CONTACT:

Connie Scorza – 541-647-8755 or Lynn Noble – 406-794-2509

If no answer please leave a voicemail and we will get back to you.

Please come to the Orphans Christmas Dinner! So many of us don’t have family in the area to celebrate the holidays, and no one should spend them alone. Last year was a great success with over 40 people. It was a great time!

With everyone bringing a dish, there is a smorgasbord of delights certain to put you in the Christmas spirit. Don’t spend the day alone! Come join your neighbors and friends at the Ramada.

Get in touch with Connie or Lynn. We will ask you to bring an appetizer, main

dish, vegetable/salad, or dessert. Please RSVP by 12/22/2023 so we have an idea of how many tables need to be set up.

We look forward to seeing you there! Merry Christmas!

Funny Bone

Source: The Far Side

Source: Pinterist

Well, I'm in the emergency room now. Ugh!! Today was not a good day at all. I decided to go horseback riding, to ease the boredom... something I haven't done in awhile. It turned out to be a big mistake!

I got on the horse and started out fine. Nice and slow, but then we went a little faster. Before I knew it, we were going as fast as the horse could go. I couldn't take the pace and fell off. I caught my foot in the stirrup with the horse dragging me. It wouldn't stop. Hit my head, banged up my back and elbow pretty good and tore my shirt.

Thank goodness the kind manager at Walmart came out and unplugged the machine. But, he had the nerve to take the rest of my change so I wouldn't ride the Elephant or Motorcycle. I was also banned from the Merry-go-round.

Thanks Don Hartje
