Mental Health Conference

June 8, 2023

9:00am - 3:00pm.

The Community Resource Council and the Mental Health Coalition are hosting a free Mental Health Conference from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 8 at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center. Lunch will be provided courtesy of FCC Behavioral Health. Topics include an overview of mental health; welcoming, inclusive, safe, and equitable service environments; LGBTQ+ Mental Health; Conversations for Suicide Safer Homes; and a panel discussion on Risk and Resiliency. Animal Welfare Alliance of SEMO

10:00am - 2:00pm

Food, fun and a live band will roll out on the Animal Welfare Alliance (AWA) parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 10. It’s all to celebrate the first anniversary of opening AWA’s regional, no-kill animal shelter at 1904 S. Westwood Blvd. (the former Hillcrest vet clinic).

The party will feature live music by the band Just Enough. Entry to the party is free; there will be games for kids and a Holy Rollin’ rolled ice cream truck, a 50/50 raffle for grown-ups and a separate raffle for a beautiful hand-sewn quilt. Grilled hamburgers and other snacks will be available for purchase, as will baked goods for your dogs, pet-themed T-shirts and gift items.

Proceeds from the event will help support operations at the shelter, which houses anywhere from 60 to 75 dogs and cats at any given time. The shelter has averaged an adoption a day for the past several months. All animals leaving AWA for new homes are first spayed or neutered, given all appropriate vaccinations and micro-chipped.

Summer Concert

June 16, 2023

6:00pm- 8:00pm

Join us in the Library Garden for a live musical performance by Maddy Cauthen! The concert will take place rain or shine and is free and open to all ages.

Golf Tournament

June 16

Sign up for the four-person scramble tournament at Westwood Hills Country Club. This is the 10th Annual Golf Tournament hosted by the Three Rivers Endowment Trust. Download a registration form. Registration is open for both participants and sponsors. Player registration is $135 for individuals and $550 for teams and includes contest packages, greens fees, cart, lunch, refreshments on the course, and cocktail reception following play. Participate in the Golf Ball Drop for a chance to win half of the pot! Lunch is sponsored by Taco Taco, Las Margaritas, and Maya’s Mexican Restaurant.

The tournament begins with check-in and lunch at noon, followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. A reception sponsored by Dille & Pollard, Toth & Associates, and Heartland Engineering, LLC, is planned from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The reception will include a shrimp boil and is open to players and the public.

Individuals and organizations are invited to sponsor the event at one of four participation levels. Sponsoring a single hole is $100, silver-level event sponsorship is $250, gold sponsorships are $500, and platinum sponsorship is $1,000; proceeds benefit the Three Rivers Annual Fund, which funds special projects and helps make a difference in the lives of TRC students.
