Trash Ballot Update

From Ken Lindeman, EE HOA Secretary

203 ballots were hand delivered last weekend. Another 147 ballots were put in the mail last

Monday. To date, I have received 177 valid ballot envelopes and 4 ballot envelopes that are invalid because they were not inserted into the signature envelope. The signature envelope is important for me to ensure we do not receive more than one ballot envelope for a single property.

I must encourage everyone to vote on this “Single Trash Service” proposal. The silent majority will not give a clear picture on how the members of our community stand on this proposal. Please Vote. The last day to receive ballots is November 30, 2022. Should anyone still need a ballot or want to correct an invalid ballot, please call me at 970-577-3395.

2021 Board Member Election

From Ken Lindeman, Secretary EE HOA Board

My phone has been quiet and my email is empty. I chair the Esperanza Estates nominating committee for finding new people to volunteer and put their name on the ballot for a Director position on our HOA board.

We do have many volunteers that keep Esperanza Estates expenses low, and this is just one more way that a volunteer for our HOA board can help. Various HOA's are run by outside management groups at a large expense. With volunteers, we can continue to run our HOA at minimal expense.

Therefore, please throw your name in the hat and run for Esperanza Estates HOA board. Please contact me at 970-577-3395 or email me at [email protected] if you would like to have your name on the ballot. Thank you.

From Mary Harp

EE Crafty Crafters

Source: Bernie Olson

The EE Crafty Crafters group meet every other Thursday at 1 pm at the Ramada. The next meeting is this Thursday, November 17, and we will be making Candy Cane Wreaths.

You will need 24 candy canes, embellishments, and a hot glue gun (if you already have it). Some have been having trouble finding candy canes. Last week we found some at Walgreens in Tucson, although other stores may have them by now. You will also need some embellishments like small ornaments, small ribbon for bows and a hanger. etc. Big Lots has a bunch of things for decorating the wreath. Pinterest online also has ideas for decorating the candy cane wreath.

Everyone is welcome to join in. If you have questions, please call or email Bernie Olson, 920-254-9277, [email protected]

Cover the Spa

From Dave Sielken, EE HOA President

If there is any chance that you will be the last party using the spa before closing, please pull the cover over to help keep the water warm overnight and costs down.

Thank you.

Good To Know

Scam Alert

Source: Pima County Sheriff's Department

We've recently received several reports of a scammer calling people claiming to be a Sheriff’s Department employee. The scammer is telling the person answering the phone they have an outstanding warrant and need to make payment arrangements with a money/gift card immediately. The scammer asks for the card number and pin over the phone.

The Sheriff's Department will NEVER contact you to ask for money. If you receive a call like this, do not give the caller any information and call 911 right away to make a report.

If you get a suspicious call from someone claiming to be an employee of the Sheriff's Department, don't hesitate to call us to verify the legitimacy of the call. Here are a few tips to prevent you from becoming a victim:

  • Do not give out personal information to an incoming caller.
  • Contact the law enforcement agency to see if you actually have a warrant.
  • Law enforcement agencies will not have you send payments or purchase prepaid credit cards to satisfy fines.
  • Report suspicious calls to law enforcement.
