Route 1 Corridor Update Breakfast

Have you ever driven along the Route 1 corridor? This well-travelled roadway is an important and highly-used connector, a vital route for commerce and commuting.


Join TMACC on Thursday, October 6, from 7:30am to 9:30 am for another informative breakfast meeting to learn about the latest plans for the Route 1 corridor.


Speakers from PennDOT, PECO, and McMahon Associates will discuss upcoming improvements to the corridor, as well as additional projects to connect highways, roads, trails and future alterative fuel designations.

Chester County Launches Walk. Ride. Drive.

Safe Campaign

With the outdoor activity season in full swing and as children get ready to return to school, Chester County has launched a safety awareness campaign to keep pedestrians and bicyclists safe — and drivers aware.


The Walk. Ride. Drive. Safe campaign offers tips and rules for drivers, bicyclists and walkers when sharing lanes. The county's more congested urban and suburban areas make safety awareness very important.

The World’s First Hydrogen Trains Started Passenger Service in Germany


While the name iLint may not strike as a great train name, the first Hydrogen powered passenger trains are here. 


Testing of the trains started four years ago, and their initial implementation date was meant to be in 2021. The pandemic squashed that timeline, but late last month Alstom, the French company making the trains, announced the start of passenger service.

Five Coradia iLint trains started carrying passengers in August, and nine more will replace the diesel trains currently running on a route in Bremervörde, Lower Saxony by the end of this year.
