Neighborhood News

Caring Community

From Dave Sielken

Recently our neighbor, Ken Lindeman, was driving home on Napa when he saw an elderly lady laying in the quad driveway by our house. She was barely responsive when Angel (his real name!), a Points West crewman, came over to help. With Ken's patience and Angel's first aid knowledge, the lady was hanging on until GVFD arrived and took her to the new ER.

This type of compassion is another characteristic that reflects on the type of neighborhood that EE really is.

A big Shout Out to Ken and Angel!

Food Collection Shelf

From Sandy LaVoi

Just wanted to remind everyone that the Food Bank can only take non-perishable food that has not been opened.  Thanks again for your generous donations.

Caring Connections

Kathleen Millington

From Terry Golden

We are sad to announce the recent passing of Kathleen P. Millington at the age of 99. Kae enjoyed 42 of those years here as an active resident of Esperanza Estates. She moved to Green Valley from Pittsburgh in 1977. Kae enjoyed playing bridge, volunteering and entertaining. She was blessed with a healthy and happy life, large family and abundant friends. Her stories (yes she was a Rosie the Riveter), recipes and kindness live on in those she loved.  Our sincere condolences to Kae's friends and family.

New Residents

  • Welcome to new EE residents, Darrel and Cathie Rodgers, Regalo. This is a great neighborhood; we hope you are happy here!

Murder on the Orient Express

Directed by Regina Ford

Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated, and with a killer in their midst, the passengers rely on detective Hercule Poirot to identify the murderer – in case he or she decides to strike again!
