The Three Rivers College Music Department will present its spring concert at 7 p.m. May 9 in the Tinnin Fine Arts Theater. The Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and Collegiate Choir will perform a variety of musical gems so come out and enjoy the performance on May 9. Admission is free.

Solitary Man

Patrons of the Arts will present “Solitary Man — Tribute to Neil Diamond” at 7 p.m. May 1 at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center. Veteran vocalist and tribute artist, David Jericko, along with a band of professional musicians, bring the complete Neil Diamond experience to life by performing his greatest hits. Sponsored by Dental Arts Group, tickets are $15 and are available at trcc.edu/tinnin-fine-arts-center (online fee may be charged) and in person at the Three Rivers Student Accounts Office and the Tinnin Center Art Gallery. Tickets will be sold at the door, if any remain. All seats reserved.

Med Lab Tech Program

The application deadline for the Associate of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program at Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff is May 15. The MLT program at Three Rivers is part of the Missouri Health Professional Consortium (MHPC) and was developed to meet the increasing demand for highly competent medical laboratory technicians in rural and underserved areas of Missouri. Students must complete an application and meet certain criteria to be admitted into the program. The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) entrance examination requirement has been waived at this time. After graduating and receiving their license, possible employers could include hospital laboratories, private clinics, research labs, wet labs, industry, crime investigations, forensic studies, and public health facilities. All admissions materials, including official transcripts from high school and other colleges, must be received by May 15. Application forms for the MLT program can be found online at trcc.edu/apply. Poplar Bluff Parks and Recreation announces registration is open for our Junior Tennis Program’s USTA Tennis Clinic.
For: Youths grade K-8 for the 23-24 school year.
Where: Hilcrest Park
When: June 5-8 and June 12-15 Rainouts: June 9 & 16
Fee: $20 plus a can of unopened PENN or WILSON tennis balls.

Participants are asked to bring a towel, water bottle with their name, and a racquet.
