Special Event This Week

THE HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE INVITES YOU TO OUR "WILD WEST" EVENT.

We would like to invite everyone to our upcoming event, "The Wild West," hosted by the Hospitality Committee on Thursday, April 18th at the Ramada Saloon. We will be grilling 1/3 lb. hamburgers and 1/4 lb. hotdogs. We serve sides of coleslaw, potato chips, and a dessert. There will be condiments and toppings for your burgers and hotdogs. We will provide plates, napkins, and utensils. Beverages, including wine, beer, soda, and water are complimentary.

To add to the fun, we will have a local Ukulele group providing music for us during Happy Hour and as we eat. They have performed for us in the past, and they were very well received!

We encourage you to wear your Western gear....hats, shirts, bolo ties, boots....whatever you may have that adds to the theme!!!

During this event, we will also be honoring long-time resident Tom Cooke for his years of invaluable service to our HOA. Tom has recently sold his home in EE. He will be greatly missed.

The cost is $10.00 per person. Happy Hour begins at 4:30, and dinner will be served at 5:00. We would love to see you there!!!

Gardeners

The Gardeners will meet at 9:00 am on Tuesday morning, April 16th, at the Pool Area. Bring tools for weeding, pruning and clean-up. New members are always welcome to join us. Call Rod Harp at 520.329.9103 with any questions.

Chair Yoga

It has been an honor to teach strength and balance yoga this season at our Ramada. This Tuesday's class will be the final class this season.

Cribbage

After two weeks off, the Cribbage Group met this week and five people showed up. Thanks to Kevin Welsh for being there in my absence. We will continue to meet on Wednesdays, 3 pm, at the Ramada. Come on over for a friendly game or two.

Craft Group

The meeting is this Thursday at 1:00 pm at the Ramada. This is the last week for Crafts. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Book Club Update

The May Book Club meeting, rather than having a commonly chosen book for discussion, will offer the chance for each participant to give a review of a favorite book. Tell us about your favorite and why you liked it. This will be the last meeting for this season. The meeting will resume in September. Book Club meets on the second Thursday of the month at 11:00 am in the Ramada.

Thus, the May meeting will be at 11 am on May 9th.
