Wildlife Reminders
From: Jim Gardner, Recreational Facilities Director
Second Reminder
The wildlife at EE are out in force.
A couple of reminders:
The Ramada has seen a group of javelinas with babies visiting after dark. Be aware if you are going for an evening swim.
Please put the garbage cans back behind the garbage area gate after events to prevent easy access by javelina.
The snakes are out.
If you put a Pickleball outside the court in the bushes, please use the rake or the ball stick to retrieve them.
At the Bocce courts stay aware. If you play corn hole, it is a good idea to check under the boards before you reach in.
A Gila Monster was removed by the snake patrol from a del Norte yard on Sunday 3/29. They are poisonous and bites are very painful.
Most of us are very aware of our wildlife, but guests may not be. No fear of wildlife, just be aware. They want to avoid us as well.

WE WISH SAM SIMONSON ALL THE BEST!
We wish long time EE resident Sam Simonson a heartfelt goodbye as he leaves Esperanza Estates to live in his Minnetonka, MN home full time.
He and his wife, June, moved into their home on Del Norte in 1998. June passed away in 2011, but Sam has continued to live here for the winter months. Both Sam and June were very involved in our EE community. The fund raising garage sales they had with other residents at that time eventually led to the formation of the Enhancement Committee. They were well known for their fabulous Bingo New Year's parties, and Sam has continued to serve EE as part of the Hospitality committee. Sam is an active member of the Green Valley Optimist Club and Desert Hills Lutheran Church. His favorite volunteer job was serving lunches at Crossroads Mission in Nogales, AZ.
Sam will vacating his home of 26 years right after Easter and moving in with his daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Dean Lockwood, for a few days before he says his good-byes on April 11th.
We send him all of our love.
Sam, you have been a great neighbor to eveyone!
