Notes From the Board of Directors Meeting
From Kevin Welsh, HOA Board President
- 2025 Homeowners Association dues will increase by $20 to $570. The increase is the result of price increases in landscape maintenance, trash collection, swimming pool expenses, and insurance. Letters will be mailed shortly, payment is due by Jan 1st, and is delinquent after Jan 15th.
- We are continuing to evaluate electronic voting for Board of Directors' ballots, proposals requiring a vote of the homeowners, and as a way to survey homeowners views. Note: Ken Lindeman, HOA Board Secretary, will be running a test run of the electronic voting system on Tuesday, November 26. Please watch your email for more information on how to participate in the test.
- The subject of 'rain barrels' was brought up and clarification of what is acceptable was requested. Rain barrels that are 'decorative' (not industrial) in design, with a color that is 'in harmony' with the neighborhood, and a downspout painted the house color, are permitted. A smooth, black, plastic rain barrel does not meet the test and should be painted the house color (to blend in) or removed to inside the patio walls.

Pickleball
From Greg Gramstad, Pickleball Master
The pickleball courts are reserved every day from 8 am to 12 pm for scheduled pickleball play. Otherwise, the courts are open for Esperanza Estates' residents' play.
We would appreciate your help keeping the courts clean from debris. If you see debris, dirt or sand that has collected on the courts, please use the battery operated blower (stored in the men's room) to blow the debris off the surface of the court before you play. Cleaning them helps extend the life and preserve the quality of our courts. Thanks for your help.

Arts and Crafts
From Janet Shown
Members of the EE Arts and Crafts Group showed their true colors last Tuesday - watercolors! Artist Susanne Phillips deftly led fifteen participants in creating simple holiday wreath paintings on cardstock, eliciting expressions of surprise at the simple techniques that created impressive results. Some class attendees even persevered through a chilly afternoon breeze to paint simple Christmas trees for holiday cards. They were all a hit!
Everyone so enjoyed the class that they voted to invite Susanne back for the next session (details below). Interested in joining the activity? Please RSVP to Janet Shown by Friday, Nov. 29 at 720-749-0273 or jansho@yahoo.com so that Susanne can prepare the appropriate supplies.
Making Watercolor Holiday Cards - Part II
Led by local artist, Susanne Phillips, aka "Sucasso"
Tuesday, Dec. 3
1 pm - 3:30 pm
Gather at the EE Ramada
Bring your own refreshments. Wear an apron or clothing that you don't mind getting paint on. Please plan to help clean up following the activity.
Supplies will be provided by Susanne, although you are welcome to bring your own paints or supplies. No cost, but we agreed to offer individual gratuities for Susanne.
We have many great activities planned for the arts and crafts group through May. Interested or have a friend who may be interested? Contact Janet Shown at jansho@yahoo.com or 720-749-0273.

Lamp Post Decorating for Christmas
From Gloria Creagh
Our street lamp posts will begin to look festive starting this week. Esperanza is very proud of our festive looking streets during the holidays!
If you need help with decorating, please call Gloria Creagh at (920) 323-1646. The Elves will decorate your lamp post for a $15.00 donation. The money goes to our Enhancement Committee which raises funds for Esperanza Estates improvements (examples- new chair lift at our pool, blue pots and flowers along the street side of the pool).
If we supply decorations we ask a $25.00 donation and you keep the decorations when taken down in January.
Deadline for requesting help from our Elves is December 5. We begin decorating right after Thanksgiving.
Call Gloria Creagh (920) 323-1646 to get on the Elves’ list or to answer any questions.
