Neighborhood News

Gardeners

From Mary Harp

The Garden Club meetings are suspended until September 17. Thank you for your Green Thumbs and all the help. See you then, R & M.

Cribbage

From Hugh Rhine, 303-249-5745

The Cribbage group will continue to meet throughout the Summer every Wednesday afternoon, 3 pm, at the Ramada. This is relaxed, very laid back Cribbage play. All skills levels are welcome, and we are happy to have newcomers to the game as well. Come on over and join in!

Book Club

From Hugh Rhine, 303-249-5745

The May Book Club meeting will be May 9, 11 am, Ramada. At this meeting, rather than having a commonly chosen book for discussion, we will offer the chance for each participant to give a review of a favorite book. Tell us about your favorite and why you liked it. Great way for everyone to add to our Summer reading lists!

This will be the last meeting for this season, and meetings will resume in September. Book Club meets on the second Thursday of the month at 11:00 am in the Ramada.

Thirsty Thursday

Yes, it's Summer and Winter visitors have mostly migrated...but we are still having Thirsty Thursday Happy Hour throughout the Summer!! We get together every other Thursday, 4 pm, at the Ramada. This is a "no-host" event, which means no one is in charge, and everyone is welcome. Everyone brings their own beverage This isn't a potluck, so you don't have to bring food unless you really want to, but bring your own eating utensils. Come on over for a visit!

Green Valley Community Directories

From Ken Lindeman

Green Valley Community Directories are now available at the Ramada for anyone wanting one. Just pick one up. FYI - these are phone directories of people and businesses in Green Valley that have submitted information to be in the directory.

Summer Donations For Spring Ramada Sale

From Jody Hauge

The Enhancement Team will be taking donations this Summer for the Spring 2025 Ramada Sale. If you cannot wait until November to drop off your items,

these ladies have volunteered to meet you at the shed on the west side of the Pickleball court: Vivian 919-274-5364, Lynn 406-794-2509, Michalle 360-440-0614, Kraylen 520-402-9120, Jackie 602-206-3354. Please give them a call and set up a time. Remember we do not take big furniture, clothes, or technology items.

Caring Connections

Doug Syme

Doug Syme says he was "happily unaware of his impending doom" until his recent appointment with his PCP, Dr. Fred Mendoza. Doug wants to thank Dr. Mendoza for saving his life and having the foresight to do an ultrasound. The test identified an aortic aneurysm. Doug had surgery to repair the aneurysm, he's back home now, and is recovering.

Food Shelf

From Sandy LaVoi

Thanks everyone for your generous donations before you head north.  Throughout the Summer, we will continue to collect non-perishable food at the Ramada for the Food Bank. Safe travels to you all.
