THE HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE INVITES YOU TO JOIN US FOR OUR ANNUAL OPTIMIST “2023 SAUSAGE FEST”!!!
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE DUE TO BAD WEATHER REPORTS FOR TUESDAY!!!
Please join the Hospitality team as we host the Green Valley Optimist Club as they cook their “world famous” Italian sausages for EE’s much anticipated “Sausage Fest” on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 23 at the Ramada. (Note the change of date!!)
Happy Hour will begin at 4:30 and dinner will begin around 5:00, when the sausages are fully cooked.
Dinner will include a sausage on a bun with optional grilled onions and green peppers and sauerkraut. Sides will include coleslaw, chips and cookies for dessert. As always, the Hospitality committee will provide complimentary beverages including wine, beer, soda, coffee and water.
The cost of this wonderful dinner is $10.00. It is important to remember that this fee is for one full dinner per person. There will not be seconds on sausages offered without an additional cost. The Optimists have committed to cooking 150 sausages, so come early to assure that you will get your sausage.
If you are not able to eat at the Ramada for some reason (such as unusually cold weather!), we will have “To Go” boxes available. Let us do your cooking!!!
Frozen sausage will also be available for purchase at a special price....10 Pks for $20 & 4 Pks for $10!
All profits from this event will go to the Optimist Club to support their work in supporting kids’ programs throughout Green Valley. There will be Optimists Club members available to explain their mission. As always, we encourage you to bring a donation for the Food Shelf to this event!

Pickleball Education Program
From Sharon Falor
Pickleball Lessons will continue every Monday and Wednesday from 11:00 to 12:30. All levels are encouraged to attend and participants will be assigned courts based on experience.
If the weather is inclement (Rain, Wind Gusts over 15MPH, or Temperatures below 50) lessons will be cancelled. Our turnout has been great, but consistency is important. Try not to miss lessons as we build upon previous instruction. The weather has been difficult, but your eagerness to learn has been excellent. See you soon!

The Dessert Buffet and Silent Auction along with the Gardener’s Plant Sale was a big success for our neighborhood. The event was well attended and people were so generous with their donations of desserts, plants and silent auction items.
The fundraiser brought in a total of $2420.50 minus minor expenses. Congratulations to all of you that made it happen. We live in a wonderful community full of fun-loving and giving people.
Thank you to all who donated items and desserts. A big thank you to those participating in the day by bidding, eating desserts and enjoying the fellowship. A special shout out to the members of the Enhancement Committee for all the planning and work that went into a successful event.

STEVE ODA AND TY BURHOE
Thursday, February 23, 2023 - 7:00 PM
Steve Oda began his musical education at the age of seven, learning to play slide guitar and then jazz guitar. His love of creativity through musical expression led him to the classical music of North India and the sarode. Ty Burhoe has been a disciple of the great tabla maestro, Ustad Zakir Hussain, since 1990. From that time forward, Ty has been wholly dedicated to music as a career and as a spiritual path. Ty is known for his inspired accompaniment and uplifting presence in both classical and in fusion settings.
