Directors Election Update
From Ken Lindeman, HOA Secretary
We have 145 voters responding to our first ballot email. That still leaves 205 property owners, evidently the silent majority, not caring about Esperanza Estates HOA leadership. I really don’t want to believe this. People moved into our neighborhood because they liked something. The neighborhood is run by volunteers to give us a low cost smooth running environment. Property owners have an opportunity to vote on one incumbent and four new volunteers to fill three positions. Please show these people you value what they are doing and vote for the people you think will best keep our neighborhood the best in Green Valley. If you can’t find your old email giving you the opportunity to vote, watch for a new email on Jan 6, 2025 for a second chance. Questions or concerns, please contact Ken Lindeman at eesecy@gmail.com.

Pool Gates
From Jim Gardner
We had a locksmith out to look at the pool gate locks. They did some repair work but the main (north gate) lock is badly worn and at this point is not working. The south gate is better for now. Please use the south gate to enter the pool. Both will be replaced. They will be re-keyed to match the existing keys. We have a “master” key that we will use for future copies once the new locks are installed. I am waiting for the install date.
Once they are installed your existing key should work. There may be issues with some existing keys. There seems to be a lot of copies of copies which over time can be an issue. If after the new locks are installed, you have an issue with a key, I will work with you to replace it. There will be more details once the locksmith work is completed.
Thanks for your patience! If you have any questions please let me know

Orphans' Christmas Dinner
The EE Orphans' Christmas Dinner at the Ramada was perfect with lots of exceptionally delicious food and friendly companionship. We want to give a very special shoutout to Lynn Noble and Connie Scorza who founded this dinner three years ago to provide a place for EE folks to go so that no one has to have Christmas alone. It's become a wonderful tradition, and folks in EE look forward to it. It's a big job to plan, organize, and manage the dinner. Thank you so much for your efforts and for thinking of us, Connie and Lynn. You made a lot of EE Orphans happy on Christmas Day!
Here are Lynn's and Connie's comments....
Thanks to everyone for making the Third Annual Orphans Christmas Dinner a resounding success! There were 40+ in attendance, all with smiles and dressed in festive wear, spreading Christmas Cheer to those around them. Turkey and ham were the main dishes along with every holiday side one can imagine. There were lots of leftover desserts that Connie took to the Fire Station (they were delighted)! With our bellies fed and hearts warmed, we bid each other Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year!
Until next year…your hosts Connie and Lynn

This is our regular week (every other Thursday) for our neighborhood Thirsty Thursday Happy Hour...Thursday, January 2, 4 pm, at the Ramada. You may be in a "decompress" mood after two weeks of holidaying, but what better way to decompress than a calm casual visit with friends. It's BYOB, but you don't have to bring food or a gift! Come on by...life is returning to '"normal."

Jim Sollars' Book
Congratulations to EE resident, Jim Sollars, on publishing his recent book, The Yamamoto Affair. It's a fascinating and enjoyable read.
Sometimes an event or story could change the course of history. This was one of those events. Who knew that Yamamoto, Admiral of the Japanese Imperial Navy, had a backup plan should the Pearl harbor attack fail? A deep sea dive, Adrian McClellan discovers a sunken WWII Japanese submarine that uncovers questions about an attack on America. An attack that is very much alive.
This book is the first of a 10-part series. If you would like more information, please contact Jim at jimsoll@hotmail.

I’m confused, I keep hearing people singing a so called Spanish Christmas song from the radio....
Felipes not my Dad.
What kind of Christmas song is that?
It is mildly shocking that those who CALL themselves a Florist, know absolutely NOTHING about installing linoleum.
