Pickleball Lessons to Support

Purchase of Swimming Pool Lift Chair

From Sharon Falor, 928-853-3474

In an effort to fundraise for the purchase of a Lift Chair for our swimming pool, I will be organizing and offering fee based drill sessions, and semi-private and group lessons for individuals who are interested in continuing to improve their paddle skills and knowledge of the game. Depending on the interest, myself and other coaches, will be available to drill and teach for 60 minute segments. If you have questions on the fee structure or availability, please do not hesitate to send me a text.

Please mark your calendars for the 4th, 14th, 18th, and 25th of March. Time slots are on the hour from 11:00 through 4:00. These lessons are open for absolute beginners through advanced level players. Please text to reserve a time slot or to inquire about an alternate date. A sign-up sheet will also be available at the courts.

  • $15.00 One on One drill session for 60 minutes.
  • $25.00 Two Player Semi-Private Lesson for 60 minutes. (One Coach)
  • $50.00 Four Player Group Lesson for 60 minutes. (Two Coaches)

Remember all proceeds will go directly to purchase a Lift Chair for the pool. Thank you! Coach

Green Valley Fire Department Program About No-Cost Services

From John Nesavich

The Director of Green Valley Fire Department Services, Kevin McNichols, is coming to Esperanza Estates Ramada on March 13th at 8 am. Kevin McNichols will present all the no-cost services available to our residents and many services offered by some non-profit organizations here in Green Valley. There are more services than you would believe! Coffee and Donuts will be served to help start your day.

Gardeners

From Mary Harp

The Gardeners will meet at 9:00 am on Tuesday morning, March 5th, at the Portillo Bridge Park (corner of Portillo and Calma). Bring tools for weeding, pruning, and clean-up. New members are always welcome to join us. Call Rod Harp at 520.329.9103 with any questions.

Compliments to Our EE Gardeners

From Mary Hess

Our volunteer gardeners are the gift that keeps on giving. Every time I drive by the public median just outside our development I remember when that barren area was adopted by our residents and the tiny plants were installed. We watched in wonder while they grew to enhance the space. We can easily forget the contribution and take the beauty for granted. But I still remember what it looked like before our people stepped up. I just want to say thanks.

Craft Group

From Bernie Olson

The Craft Group will meet this Thursday, March 7, from 1 to 3 pm at the Ramada. This week we will be making feathers and doing a coat of polyurethane on the lizard. We also need to discuss what’s next for future projects. We have many fun projects that have been suggested, but we need to determine if we have enough interest among those who can stay for 2 hours, as it’s taking longer for projects to get finished. Hope you can join in and keep the Craft Group going.

Caring Connections

George "Skip" Lippert

We have learned that George "Skip" Lipper passed away in Green Valley recently. Skip and his wife of 43 years, Michelle, have lived in Esperanza Estates for the last five years, but he always considered Bremerton, Washington to be his home. He was a dentist, served in the Navy, enjoyed water sports and pickleball among other sports, and taught Dental Assisting students at Everest College. He is survived by his wife Michelle, his 3 daughters; Cindy, Vicki and Kimberly, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Our most sincere condolences to Skip's family and friends.

Richard "Dick" Vincent

Richard "Dick" Vincent passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, February 24 at Edmonds Landing, WA, alongside his wife Eileen Donner Vincent of 66 years. He was 95 years old. Dick had a career in Marketing and Advertising. After retirement in 1990, they lived in East Wallingford, VT, Camano Island, WA , and lived for a time in Esperanza Estates. He leaves behind his beloved wife Eileen, 4 children, and 7 grandchildren. In lieu of a memorial service, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Our sincere condolences to all of Dick's family and friends.
