Thirsty Thursday is happening again at the Ramada this Thursday, August 28, at 5 pm for Happy Hour. Thirsty Thursday is a low key, no-host happy hour. It's BYOB, bring a snack to share (if you like), and your own eating utensils. Turn on the Ramada fans, sit in the shade, and enjoy visiting with your neighbors and friends!

Aluminum Can Pull Tabs

Lynn Theder is managing our aluminum can pull tab donations. Lynn has linked up with teachers at the Sahuarita Intermediate School, Grades 3 - 5. Last school year they used the earnings to purchase playground equipment. Please save your aluminum can pull tabs and deposit them in the collection can near the sink at the Ramada.

“The sweet spot as far as well-being is concerned, is six greetings,” said Dan Witters, research director for the Gallup National Health and Well-Being Index, a large, national poll on career, finance, social, physical and community well-being conducted quarterly in the United States since 2008.

Sheriff Departments Are Warning the Public of a Telephone Impersonation Scam

Source: Composed from Sheriffs Department's by John Nesavich

Pima County Sheriff Department, Denver Sheriff Department, Phoenix Sheriff Department

This scam is appearing around the Country. The Sheriff's Departments reports the impersonator will “spoof” the Sheriff Department information telephone number on the victim’s caller ID, but give the victim a different call-back number. The impersonator will request the victim to meet to pay bond or bail or wire money for payment of a warrant.

Recently, the phone scam's victims have also met an unknown male to pay a cash bond or bail. The victim is then instructed to go to the downtown jail to finalize the release of a family member. Sheriff's Deputies will never request payment for a warrant, bond, or bail nor make contact by phone, and a Deputy Sheriff would never meet or suggest a member of the public meet someone on the street to pay cash for a bond or bail.

If you receive a suspicious call from someone alleging to be a Deputy Sheriff, report the information to your local police department.

SUITES MYSTERIOUS: A World Premiere celebrating the 300th Birthday of Bach’s Cello Suites

Wednesday, September 6, 2023 - 7:00 PM MST

Bach’s suites for solo cello are beloved by both cellists and audiences world-wide. These iconic works were never performed publicly during Bach’s life and remained nearly unknown and un-played for the next two hundred years until Pablo Casals re-discovers them and records them, revealing their beauty and humanity. This historical fiction drama, coupled with performances from all six suites, will entertain and enlighten on the suites conception, and the joyous exploration and collaboration between Bach and his cellist muse, ‘Bernie’.
