Please come to the Orphans Christmas Dinner! So many of us don’t have family in the area to celebrate the holidays, and no one should spend them alone. Last year was a great success with over 40 people. It was a great time!
With everyone bringing a dish, there is a smorgasbord of delights certain to put you in the Christmas spirit. Don’t spend the day alone! Come join your neighbors and friends at the Ramada.
Get in touch with Connie or Lynn. We will ask you to bring an appetizer, main
dish, vegetable/salad, or dessert. Please RSVP by 12/22/2023 so we have an idea of how many tables need to be set up. We look forward to seeing you there! Merry Christmas!

From Patty Adler, 303-570-3159
i have scheduled the first EE Ramada chair yoga class for Wednesday December 20th at 9:30AM.
We need sturdy armless chairs for our future chair yoga classes. Our first class will begin with stretching and effective breathing techniques, and we can use the chairs at the Ramada. But, we will need more appropriate chairs for future classes. If you have chairs, please contact Patty.
For those interested in Mat Base Hatha classes, our first class is Saturday, December 23, at 10:00 am at the Ramada. Please bring a yoga mat, 2 Mexican blankets, 2 yoga blocks and a yoga strap for class.
All my classes for EE residents are free (donations not necessary but appreciated). I am a 200 hour (CYT) certified yoga teacher. I teach in yoga studios and senior centers in Colorado and also here at our GV Rec centers. It is my honor to pass along both physical and mental health benefits yoga can offer to all of us. Looking forward to seeing all of you soon.

Green Valley Council Update
Source: Hugh Rhine
I was not available to attend the November GVCC Board of Representatives meeting. I am grateful to Connie Scorza and Jim Stavneak for taking the time to represent EE in my absence. The most notable information from that meeting was...
1. Pima County received funds to participate in the "LAP" Lost Assistance Program, which provides an identification bracelet to persons who may be experiencing mental lapses and were found confused and unable to recall their home addresses. The funding included the machine that makes the bracelets. The Lost Assistance program is headed by the Mental Health Support Team of Pima County Sheriff's Dept. For more information, email mttst@sheriff.pima.gov, or call 520-351-4600.
2. Another grant paid for two or three additional mechanical speed signs showing the actual speed limit and the speed of the approaching vehicle.
3. A grant has been received for a movable mechanical sign displaying event locations and other information.

Art and Craft Fair is
Rousing Success!
From Adrienne Lowe
The consensus is in, "the Art and Craft Fair was a rousing success." Despite the chill in the air we had a good turnout, and people seemed to appreciate being able to purchase hot coffee and donuts. We are thinking of doing a Spring sale...stay tuned!
