Open Board Position - Second Notice

Director Blake Gipson has sold his home in EE and has resigned from the Board of Directors. The position of vice president is currently vacant. The Board will appoint a replacement to fill the remaining portion of his 3 year term and select a new vice president from the remaining Directors.

Grand Opening
Bocce Ball Courts

Location: Bocce Ball Courts (off Calma)
Come celebrate the opening of the new Bocce Ball Courts!!
You will also be able to see the garden areas the Rock Monkeys are creating.
Coffee and doughnuts will be served.
All EE homeowners are invited!

CPR/AED Training - Second Notice

The Santa Rita Fire Department will offer a hands only CPR/AED training session for our HOA. We do have an AED device at the pool as well as the pickleball courts.
This is a good opportunity for us to learn or get a refresher on using these life saving devices.
The session(s) will be held at the Ramada. Tentative dates are Monday, March 16 and/or Wednesday, March 18.
Before I firm up the schedule, I will need a count of those interested.

Let's meet at the Sunset Ramada Park and Pool area to do some weeding and raking to spruce up the area as we prepare for the March 13 Enhancement Committee's March Madness Silent Auction.
If it rains, we will cancel.
The Gardners will have some plants for sale during the auction event.
The money we raise helps fund equipment, supplies, and gas for the Amigo.

March Madness Silent Auction/Dessert Buffet

The Esperanza Estates Enhancement Committee will hold a March Madness Silent Auction/Dessert Buffet, this Friday, March 13 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Admission: $5 per person with choice of three desserts.
Please plan to don your basketball attire, enjoy some wonderful treats ,and bid on over 60 donated items.
The auction will feature an amazing array of items donated by your talented and generous friends and neighbors.
Items include:
- Gift baskets with wine, food, and entertainment
- Both indoor and outdoor art
- Unique jewelry
- Native American treasures
Some items you wouldn't expect:
- Cozy blankets for cool winter nights
- At-home haircuts from a renowned stylist
- An exquisite Murano Italian bowl
- That drill press you've always wanted

Handmade in 1940, the quilt is in mint condition. It measures 78" x 84" and has an appraisal value of $950.

St. Patrick's Day Potato Bar

Time: Bar opens at 4:30 p.m. Dinner will be begin at 5:00 p.m.

Cost: $12:00 cash or check (to Robin Lockwood), exact change is really appreciated.
Please join the EE community in celebrating St. Patrick's Day at a Baked Potato Bar hosted by the Hospitality Committee at the Ramada.
Dinner will include a large baked potato with toppings (taco meat, broccoli, butter, cheese sauce, shredded cheese, sour cream, bacon bits and onions) plus coleslaw and dessert.
You will have a choice of complimentary beverages including wine, beer, soda, water, along with our specialty drink, the "HAPPY LEPRECHAUN" !

Senior Helpers and VA Claims Presentation

This presentation will have information important for people who do not realize the services that are available to the senior population.
Information will include services by Senior Helpers and also other services that are available here in Green Valley.
There will also be a VA claims agent speaking about services available to vets.
You would be amazed about the services vets and their spouses do not know are available to them.
There will be pizza provided. Bring your own beverage.

Rock Monkeys

Green Valley Council Updates

- We will see a speed sign on Portillo in April per the GVC.
- The GVC is serving as a collection point for a petition urging the AZ State Legislature to prioritize reform to combat title fraud. I will be placing the petition in the Ramada for review and signing by those EE residents so inclined.

22nd Street Bridge Reminder

Residents may be interested to know that the 22nd street bridge will be closed as of March 3. Yup! They are finally going to replace it. It's a route across town that is familiar to many of us.
