Thirsty Thursday

It's time for happy hour...Thirsty Thursday...this Thursday, 5 pm, at the Ramada. This is an EE no-host neighborhood gathering that we have every other Thursday. Everyone brings their own beverages, food to share (or not), and helps clean up. Bring whatever refreshments you want (alcohol or non-alcohol as you choose). It's a nice opportunity to meet up with your neighbors and meet new friends. So, hope you can join in. It's great to get acquainted!

Book Club

From Hugh Rhine and Linda Sielken

The EE Book Club met last week and worked on our reading list for the coming months. We have a partial list, see below. The next book club meeting will be Thursday, October 12, 11:00 am at the Ramada.

October's book is The Boys from Biloxi by John Grisham, and the discussion will be lead by Judy Hayes. This is a newer book of Grisham's, released in October, 2022.

John Grisham returns to Mississippi with the riveting story of two sons of immigrant families who grow up as friends, but ultimately find themselves on opposite sides of the law. Grisham's trademark twists and turns will keep you tearing through the pages until to stunning conclusion.

Books planned for coming months....

November 9, Lady Tans Circle of Women by Lisa See, and lead by Linda Sielken

December 14, Finding Chika by Mitch Albom, lead by Lynn Theder

January 11,   Fallen Leaves by Will Durant, lead by Hugh Rhine

February 8, The Mitford Affair by Marie Benedict, lead by Roberta Bower

Dates for several months remain open. Watch the MMM for brief write up of the upcoming books. We have some suggestions for the open months, but do not hesitate to bring your ideas for other books, especially if there is one for which you would be willing to lead the discussion. At upcoming meetings, those present will have the opportunity to help select books for the remaining meetings.

Everyone is welcome at our Book Club discussions....it's not just a Girls' group. Come on over and join in, Guys! Please call Hugh with questions and comments, 303-249-5745.

EE Craft Sale Still Needs an Organizer

From Bernie Olson

The Annual Arts and Craft Sale that EE usually holds the first Saturday in December needs an organizer. Bernie Olson and Deb Ries, who have co-chaired the sale in recent years, are unable to lead the event this year. If you are interested in helping to manage this popular EE event, please contact Bernie Olson, 920-254-9277,  bernieolson57@gmail.com.

Weed Spraying is Back in Business

The HOA weed spray equipment is repaired, and we caught Tom Cooke and Boyd Morse in the act last Friday. Thanks so much to these gentlemen whose efforts keep our neighborhood looking good!
