It's officially Spring and the cactus are starting to bloom!! What a beautiful time in the neighborhood!

The Hospitality Committee would like to invite you to our "Spring Fling" event at the Ramada on Tuesday, April 5th. We will be grilling 1/3 lb. hamburgers and 1/4 lb. hot dogs for you, and serving sides of coleslaw, beans, chips, all the fixings and a dessert. There will be a limited number of veggie burgers available. The cost for this event is $8.00, and it includes beverages of wine, beer, soda and water.

Social hour begins at 4:30 pm, with dinner serving beginning at 5:00 pm. We would love to have you join us!

As always, we encourage you to bring a non-perishable donation for our local Food Shelf. Thank you.

Easter Parade and Dessert, April 17

From Donna Shay

Don't forget our Annual EE Easter Parade for Sunday, April 17, 2 pm (participants line up at 1:45). This years, the Parade will be followed by an Easter Dessert Gathering at the Ramada for everyone....both parade participants and observers.

We've had both golf carts and alternative vehicles (motorcycles, cool cars, bicycles, etc.) in the parade. Come to think of it, a parade participant could even be a fast-walker! The point is to spread Easter Blessings and Cheer thoughout our neighborhood.

The Easter Dessert Gathering following the Parade will be a No-Host type of event....BYOB, bring a dessert to share (or not), and bring your own eating utensils. All are Welcome!!

So, start planning your festive Easter decorations for your vehicles, and your Easter duds and Easter bonnets! Mark your calendar for April 17....it will be a blast!

Caring Connections

Good to Know

Don’t Be Russia's Next Victim

Did you know that those quizzes you see on Facebook could be a trap to capture information about you for scammers? Experts say Russian scammers could target people through email or Facebook.

Providing answers to those silly quizzes gives hackers an idea of what's near and dear to you and what you might be using as your password. Then they can try different combinations of what you entered in these surveys and get into your accounts." said Jonathan Weissman, a cyber security expert at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Weissman said once you let them in they can access personal information like your bank account and other personal documents.  "When you let them in, they can put a key stroke logger on your machine that captures every key you press, including usernames and passwords." said Weissman.

So, it's best to scroll past those quizzes you see. They likely aren't your friend.
