Open Board Position

Director Blake Gipson has sold his home in EE and has resigned from the Board of Directors. The position of Vice President is currently vacant. The Board will appoint a replacement to fill the remaining portion of his 3 year tern and select a new Vice President from the remaining Directors.

Dogs on Leash

It is a Pima County violation and issue allowing dogs to be off their leash. Homeowners can call animal control and file a report.
If Homeowners observe a dog off leash, take a picture of the dog and owner and file a report with animal control.

Ramada Cleaning

CPR/AED Training

The Santa Rita FD will offer a hands only CPR/AED training session for our HOA.
We do have an AED device at the pool as well as the pickleball courts.
This is a good opportunity for us to learn or get a refresher on using these life saving devices.
The session(s) will be held at the Ramada. Tentative dates are Monday, March 16 and/or Wednesday, March 18.
Before I firm up the schedule, I will need a count of those interested.

HOA Facilities

We are in the season of visitors, so I will take this opportunity to remind everyone of pool use rules so our guests are aware.
All of the volunteers who work to keep the facilities in great shape hope you and your guests continue to enjoy all of our HOA facilities: the pool, ramada, pickleball courts, walking trails, parks, bocce ball courts and the corn hole area.
Pool/Spa:
- Use of the pool and spa is restricted to residents and their guests
- Sign in
- An adult must accompany, remain with and be responsible for persons under 18
- There is no lifeguard on duty, swim/spa at your own risk
- Shower on site is mandatory before entering the pool or spa
- No floats allowed
- No running, diving or boisterous conduct
- Leave the pool area before thunder and lightening storms
- All swimmers must wear proper bathing attire - no cutoffs - no jeans - no diapers
- Children under 18 are not permitted in the spa
- No glass of any kind in the pool area
- No smoking/vaping in the pool or ramada area
- If you are the last person using the spa, please pull spa cover on
Children's Hours: 11:00 am to 1:00pm
Pickleball Courts:
- The use of the pickleball courts is reserved for residents and visitors
- Open Play: 8:00 am - 10:00 am, 7 days per week
- Small group: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- Please watch the MMM calendar for scheduled EE events. EE events have priority
- Courts 3 and 4 can be reserved for private play for two hours. One court per household. Reservation instructions are at the court
- Courts 1 and 2 are always available for drop in play
- If you are the last person to use the courts, please lock the gates and bathrooms and put the ball basket in the women's bathroom

Gardeners

Thursdays at 4 p.m. at the Ramada. This is a no-host event, which means BYOB and snacks, and we all help with the cleanup. Please pitch in as much as you can before you leave.

March Madness Silent Auction/Dessert Buffet

The Esperanza Estates Enhancement Committee will hold a March Madness Silent Auction/Dessert Buffet, on March 13 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
Admission: $5 per person with choice of three desserts.
Please plan to don your basketball attire, enjoy some wonderful treats and bid on over 40 donated items.
The auction will feature an amazing array of items donated by your talented and generous friends and neighbors.
Of course, all proceeds will benefit the EE community.

Handmade in 1940, the quilt is in mint condition. It measures 78" x 84" and has an appraisal value of $950.

Rock Monkeys

Pull Tab Reminder

Reminder to all EE residents.
There is a coffee can at the Ramada with slit to accommodate your pull tabs. We collect the pull tabs and take them to a local scout troop who then takes them to a Macdonald House where families live while their loved ones are in hospitals for long term care.

Green Valley Council Updates

- We will see a speed sign on Portillo in April per the GVC.
- The GVC is serving as a collection point for a petition urging the AZ State Legislature to prioritize reform to combat title fraud. I will be placing the petition in the Ramada for review and signing by those EE residents so inclined.

22nd Street Bridge

Residents may be interested to know that the 22nd street bridge will be closed as of March 3. Yup! They are finally going to replace it. It's a route across town that is familiar to many of us.

Fruit Donations

If residents have more fruit than they can comfortably pick or eat, the Sahuarita Food Bank works with the Walden Grove High School Honor Society to pick the fruit for donations. To arrange for them to come out, contact them through their website at sahuaritafoodbank.org or phone them at (520)-777-7675.

Cardboard Recyling

Reminder to all EE residents.
Cardboard can be recycled at the Sahuarita Food Bank.They will even accept boxes that aren't flattened. The food bank sells the cardboard to help offset their operating costs. The donation spot is open 24/7.
