Annual Optimist Sausage Fest
Thursday, February 22
From Robin Lockwood, Hospitality Committee
THE HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE INVITES YOU TO JOIN US FOR OUR ANNUAL OPTIMIST "SAUSAGE FEST"
Please join the hospitality team as we host the Green Valley Optimist Club as they cook their "world famous" handmade Italian sausages for EE's much anticipated SAUSAGE FEST 2024 on Thursday, February 22nd at the Ramada. Dinner will include a sausage on a bun with optional grilled onions, green peppers and sauerkraut. Sides will include coleslaw, chips and a cookie for dessert. As always, the Hospitality Committee will provide plates, napkins, utensils, cups and serve complimentary beverages; wine, beer, soda, coffee and water.
The cost of this wonderful dinner is $10.00 per plate. It is important to note that this fee is for one full dinner per person. There will not be seconds on sausages offered without an additional cost. The Optimists have committed to cooking 150 sausages, so come early to assure that you will get your meal. Happy Hour will begin at 4:30, and dinner will begin around 5:00, when the sausages are fully cooked.
All profits from this event will go to the Optimist Club mission to support kids' programs throughout Green Valley and Sahuarita. There will be Optimists Club members available to explain their mission.

Lamp Posts
From Tom Cooke, HOA Board
All owners are reminded of the language contained within section 12.5 of the CCRs of Esperanza-Estates. This provision requires that all owners are required to maintain the lamp post as part of their responsibilities, and “must keep lampposts operable“. Please note this is not optional and is a requirement that the board of our subdivision is obligated by law to enforce. We ask all owners to periodically check to ensure their lampposts are operating. In the event of a burned-out bulb, the HOA will provide and install a new one. All other maintenance responsibilities belong to the owner. For a new bulb, call 520-399-0455.
For informational purposes only, we have a resident in our neighborhood who does repair work on lampposts. His name is Guy Carlson, 841 Regalo, telephone 657-500-9193.

The craft group will continue to work on any rocks that need finishing and the feather project. Bring your yarn, macrame cord, scissors(sharp), and a small container with a lid if you want to take some starch home. Supply is limited to what I have. I also have some macrame cords that are left over from my samples. Supply is limited on that also.
