Please come to the Orphans Christmas Dinner! So many of us don’t have family in the area to celebrate the holidays, and no one should spend them alone. Last year was a great time!
With everyone bringing a dish, there is a smorgasbord of delights certain to put you in the Christmas spirit. Don’t spend the day alone! Come join your neighbors and friends at the Ramada.
Get in touch with Connie or Lynn. We will ask you to bring an appetizer, main
dish, vegetable/salad, or dessert. Please RSVP by 12/24/2023 so we have an idea of how many tables need to be set up. We look forward to seeing you there!
Merry Christmas!

Holiday Trash Pickup
This week and next week, our EE trash is going to be collected a day late. All of the Pick Up days are being moved one day later because Christmas Day and New Year’s Day are on Monday this year. That means our trash will be picked up on Thursday for the next two weeks, and then will go back to Wednesdays.

Reminder From Architectural Control About Painting
From Debbie Ries, EE Architectural Control
Before undertaking any exterior painting (except touch-up), you are required by the CC&R's to contact an EE Architectural Control Committee member to request approval in writing. (You may click on the link above to initiate an email request to Arch. Ctrl.)
As stated in Section 8.5, it is the homeowner's responsibility to get written approval from the Board prior to any repainting of the house exterior or walls.
Please note that this also includes your parapet roof. Many painters are missing this step.
Note: Parapet roof is the extension of a wall where it meets the edge of a roof. Each parape!t is essentially a small, short, vertical wall that runs along the roofline.
Thank you!

Annual Esperanza Estates Christmas Golf Cart Parade
We had a festive Christmas Golf Cart Parade last Thursday. The enthusiastic paraders ranged from elaborately decorated golf carts, to a three-wheeled vehicle (looked like a racer), to a sporty convertible...all who drove through our neighborhood honking and "Merry Chrismassing!" You can see a video of the Parade on the EE website under Monday Morning Memos. After the Parade, the Holiday Revelers gathered at the Ramada for Festive Thirsty Thursday and some good snacks and camaraderie. Thanks to everyone who participated and watched. It's a wonderful EE tradition!
Thanks to Donna Shay, Martha Peterson, and Hugh Rhine for the pics, and to Toni Robson for the video.

Christmas Lights
To all of my neighbors, I don’t mean to be a Grinch, however.... to those of you who are placing Christmas lights/decorations in your yards, would you please avoid anything that has Red or Blue flashing lights together!! Every time I come around the corner, I think it's the police. I have to break hard, toss my beer out the window, fasten my seat belt, throw my phone on the floor, turn my radio down, and push the gun under the seat. All while trying to drive. It's just too much drama, even for Christmas. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
Thanks EE Neighbor, Don Hartje
