A Prayer for Our Menasha Neighbors...

Dear God, I lift up my friend to you today. They are facing a hard time and their strength is low. Please wrap them in your love and give them the power to face each new moment. When they feel weak, be their strong place. Hold them up when the road is too steep. Give them peace of mind and hope for tomorrow. Amen.

Helping Our Neighbors After the Tornado

The tornadoes and severe storms that struck our Fox Cities communities on Monday, July 27th, have left many of our neighbors facing the difficult work of cleanup and recovery. As a congregation, we want to respond in the spirit of Christ by caring for our neighbors and offering practical assistance where it is most needed.

We have been in contact with local recovery efforts and are working to organize a First United Presbyterian Church response. One way we hope to help is by gathering and transporting needed supplies to the appropriate volunteer and recovery center.

Some of the supplies currently identified as helpful include:

• Target gift cards
• Walmart gift cards
• Kwik Trip gas cards for generators
• School supplies
• Large storage containers with lids
• Other specifically requested recovery supplies as needs develop

Most importantly, let us continue to pray for those whose homes, businesses, and livelihoods have been affected. Recovery will take time, and our neighbors will need our support long after the immediate crisis has passed.

As Paul reminds us, “Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

Donations will be collected until Sunday, August 23rd. Please leave any gift cards in the box at the welcome desk and any "bigger" items in the Narthex Area. Thank you!!
