Getting to Know: Joe Sorrera, Assistant Superintentdent, Business Services
By Faith Rynda, DHS Student Intern

We want to extend a warm welcome to Dublin Unified School District's (DUSD) newest leader, Joe Sorrera, the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services.

Mr. Sorrera comes to DUSD from Orange Unified School District (OUSD) in Southern California, where he worked for over 20 years in business services. He began his career at OUSD as an Accounting Supervisor and later became both the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services and the Chief Business Official. He combined his passion of business with education, for it felt to him as a "calling to be apart of the improvement and growth of student learning".

As he begins his journey at DUSD he hopes "to be a part of student and district success."

When Mr. Sorrera is not working at DUSD you can find him spending time with family. He is also a huge sports fan.  If he's not at the gym or playing basketball, he is cheering on his favorite football teams. Mr. Sorrera is a lifelong fan of Joe Montana and the 49ers.

We are thrilled to have such an experienced educational leader in Dublin. We know he will adopt a new favorite football team, the Dublin Gaels!

What Is Your Hope?
Since we started a new year, we've been asking...
"What is Your Hope?"
Thank you, DHS graduate Madeline Nobida for your work on this great project.
We hope you are as inspired by our students and teachers as we are!
