Golden Gael Palace Makes Its Debut!
In the continuing effort of our Child Nutrition Department to create diverse, delicious meal offerings for our students, we are proud to announce the Grand Opening of the Golden Gael Palace on the DHS Campus! The Golden Gael Palace, which will feature a variety of Asian-inspired food offerings, will be open for students on Monday, September 25!
The concept was created in a partnership between our Child Nutrition Department and Dublin High's DECA program, the student-run business/marketing class responsible for marketing the new addition to DHS food service. Last year, DECA and Child Nutrition worked together on "The Roost", a chicken-themed food offering at DHS that has proven very popular with DHS students.
The Golden Gael Palace will feature "eat-in" and "take-out" options.
"It's always about diversity, convenience and health," said Frank Castro, DUSD's Director of Child Nutrition. "We want to spread the news to more kids that good food is easy to get at school, and it's going to be healthy.
We couldn't have gotten it done without DECA's help and input."
The menu at the Golden Gael Palace is going to include Korean BBQ and Spring Rolls (Tuesday and Friday), Orange Chicken and Veggie Chow Mein (Monday and Thursday) and Sushi and Pot Stickers (Wednesdays).
