The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce is pleased to be hosting its annual Golf Outing at Callippe Preserve Golf Course in Pleasanton on Friday, September 29, 2023.

Big O Tires of Pleasanton, 1st United Credit Union, Golden 1 Credit Union, Insperity HR Solutions, Jersey Mike's Subs, SafeAmerica Credit Union and UNCLE Credit Union are all sponsors of the event this year.

This is the Chamber's one true fundraising event of the year, featuring a fun-filled afternoon of 18-holes of scramble golf, great food and drinks throughout the day and some awesome raffle prizes. It's a great opportunity to have some fun while promoting your business, networking, and making new contacts. Whether you golf or not, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss.

Le Palais Sucré, a French crêperie, ice cream shop, and café is located in Downtown Pleasanton. Their menu has everything from sweet and savory crêpes and hand-churned ice cream to omelettes and salads to lattes and milkshakes.

Ribbon cuttings increase the visibility of a grand opening, new location, ground breaking or special anniversary. A public hearing about the proposed water rate increase will take place during the September 19, 2023 City Council meeting, starting at 7 p.m. and located in the Remillard Room at 3333 Busch Rd., Pleasanton, 94566.

The Leadership Pleasanton Class of 2024 had their first day of the program last week, which included introductions of the Chamber's Community Foundation board of directors, chamber staff and a bit about American Legion Post 237 followed by team building with Corporate Games.

New this year, the City of Pleasanton is offering an opportunity for retail, restaurants, personal service providers, fitness studios, and entertainment businesses to advertise in the 2023 Pleasanton Holiday Gift Guide which is mailed to over 34,000 households in the Tri-Valley through the Your Town Monthly December publication. Additionally, a digital version of the guide will maximize multimedia reach and online visibility. As an added benefit, the City will distribute 1,500 standalone gift guides at city facilities and other public locations throughout the holiday season.

The City of Pleasanton is committed to supporting local businesses by providing this opportunity to highlight what makes Pleasanton unique and all the holiday offerings this season. The City will contribute to the overall design of the 12- or 24-page guide. Businesses pay for an advertising space to feature their business.

California Shop Small is a six-week online training and mentoring program offered by the Norcal SBDC to help product-based aspiring business owners sell online. Business owners will learn to set up an eCommerce website and understand online marketing, get their businesses online, reach new customers, and increase sales at a local, regional, and national scale. 

There are six 2-hour cohort workshops to attend. All workshops will be online webinars, and participants must attend all sessions! 

The program will run from October 3, 2023 to November 16, 2023. Webinars will take place on either Tuesdays or Thursdays. All clients must select a cohort to participate in and must stay with your cohort until the end of the program. 

The premier networking group for emerging and established young professionals, the Pleasanton Young Professionals is a committee of the Pleasanton Chamber that strives to help other young professionals to learn, empower, and grow from their mastermind lunches, volunteering and fundraising opportunities, and monthly networking mixers.

The Pleasanton Chamber hosts a bi-monthly meeting: Pleasanton 2025 Forum, bringing stakeholders together to focus community resources, time and talent to achieve greater understanding of issues, obstacles and opportunities related to Pleasanton 2025: A Community Vision.

For the September 2023 forum last week, our guest speakers were Janeen Rubino-Brumm and Jamie Renton from the Pleasanton Unified School District with a presentation on workforce development and workability programs for students and adults with disabilities.

This event is hosted by the Tri-Valley Career Center (TVCC), Tri-Valley Chamber of Commerce Alliance (TVCCA) and Chabot-Las Positas Community College District.

This is the largest, most well-attended Job Fair we host annually. In the past, we've had over 300 job seekers register and over 200 participate. We can accommodate up to 65 vendors total and be providing both premium tables and standard tables for reservation. This job fair will sell out and has sold out almost every year.
