COVID-19 Testing at Fairgrounds Extended and New Hours
COVID-19 test site at the Alameda County Fairgrounds has been extended and beginning today, Monday, July 13, the new hours are 9:00 a.m. to 12noon, Monday-Friday.
Testing is available for asymptomatic residents of Pleasanton, Dublin, and Livermore who are age 10 years and above.
* May close early if capacity is reached.

A Weekend on Main
As of Friday, June 19, outdoor dining and both indoor/outdoor retail was permitted by the Alameda County Public Health Department. In an effort
to support our downtown merchants in this reopening and to begin reactivation of downtown, the City of Pleasanton has implemented a vehicle access closure throughout Main Street in order to allow all downtown merchants the opportunity to expand their business footprint.

Virtual Tradeshow Celebrating Our Circle of Influence Members
|
In an effort to drive traffic to each company's website and preferred social media outlet, the Chamber is hosting the innovative virtual event to give its Circle of Influence members exposure and overall brand awareness during the COVID-19 pandemic. "Hosting the online tradeshow is one way we are trying to remain relevant and present for the business community and general public during these times," said Susie Weiss, Communications & Events Manager for the Chamber.

No on Prop 15
|
As the November election quickly approaches, the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce will be carefully evaluating the 12 propositions on the ballot. We have already considered Proposition 15 and recommend you vote NO. Prop 15 will increase commercial property taxes by $12.5 billion, will threaten jobs, raise consumer
prices, hurt small business and lacks accountability. We are in the midst of an unprecedented economic crisis, the last thing we need is a new tax that also impacts the protections of Prop 13. To find out more information about Prop 15, click here.

Nothing says "I'm ready to work" more than a freshly pressed suit, an updated resume, and of course, a professional headshot. Regardless of profession, COVID-19 sent millions of Americans to the unemployment line without warning. That is why local photographer Nina Pomeroy, Nina Pomeroy Photography is participating with Headshot Booker and Brookfield Properties in the largest,
single-day photo initiative that will provide 10,000 unemployed Americans nationwide with a complimentary, professional headshot to include with their resumes and post to job sites such as LinkedIn.

Alameda County Community Food Bank serving 700 meals a day
A Drive-Thru Emergency Food Distribution is available for the residents of Dublin, Pleasanton, Sunol, Livermore, Fremont, Union City and Newark at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Pre-packaged emergency food bags, boxes and/or produce will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
 Weekly Tuesday & Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Food will be loaded into your car. Only one box per car. DO NOT roll down window or get our of your car for safety. Please follow instructions from volunteers once you are there.

Statement from the Alameda County Health Care Services Agency:
Alameda County is experiencing a continued increase in reported COVID-19 cases in recent weeks, indicating elevated disease transmission. The magnitude of the change is above what would
be expected as a result of the County's substantial expansion of testing, and we have been placed on the
State's County Monitoring List. Counties placed on the Monitoring List receive targeted support from the
State and, after three consecutive days on the Monitoring List, are subject to State-imposed restrictions and enforcement.
What does this mean for Alameda County residents and businesses?
Per State
guidance issued on July 1, counties that are on the Monitoring List are required to close indoor activities in the areas listed below for a minimum of three weeks. In addition, all brewpubs, breweries, bars, and pubs must close, both indoor and outdoor activities. At this time, these activities are not permitted per Alameda County Health Officer Orders, and residents and businesses should not experience
a change.

Chamber cancels events due to COVID-19
|
Golf Tournament and both Tradeshow Mixers cancelled for 2020
The 2020 events calendar will have a different look for the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce and the business community with an announcement to cancel its annual golf tournament as well as its two tradeshow mixers for 2020 due to the uncertainties of COVID-19.
Those decisions come after careful consideration by the Chamber Board of Directors and staff and the responsibility to follow guidelines that have been set forth by the Alameda County Public Health Department for social distancing and limited attendance. In addition, those events are funded through sponsorships and participation from the business community. Due to the economic impact many have felt, the Chamber feels it is best to hold off at this time and focus on coming back strong.
The Golf Outing was set for August 7, 2020 at Callippe Preserve Golf Course in Pleasanton. The tournament, which has taken place on the first Friday in August for many years, has served as the main fundraising event for the Chamber, attracting around 115 golfers and countless sponsors.
The Tradeshow Mixers were slated for May 13, 2020 at The Club at Ruby Hill and November 4, 2020 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. The spring event had been postponed originally, with the hope of it taking place this summer. The tradeshow mixers traditionally attract more than 200 people and around 40 vendors, with food, drinks, networking and prizes.
