COVID-19 Testing at Fairgrounds Extended and New Hours
COVID-19 test site at the Alameda County Fairgrounds has been extended and beginning today, Monday, July 13, the new hours are 9:00 a.m. to 12noon, Monday-Friday.
Testing is available for asymptomatic residents of Pleasanton, Dublin, and Livermore who are age 10 years and above.
* May close early if capacity is reached.

A Weekend on Main
As of Friday, June 19, outdoor dining and both indoor/outdoor retail was permitted by the Alameda County Public Health Department. In an effort
to support our downtown merchants in this reopening and to begin reactivation of downtown, the City of Pleasanton has implemented a vehicle access closure throughout Main Street in order to allow all downtown merchants the opportunity to expand their business footprint.

Statement from the Alameda County Health Care Services Agency:
Alameda County is experiencing a continued increase in reported COVID-19 cases in recent weeks, indicating elevated disease transmission. The magnitude of the change is above what would
be expected as a result of the County's substantial expansion of testing, and we have been placed on the
State's County Monitoring List. Counties placed on the Monitoring List receive targeted support from the
State and, after three consecutive days on the Monitoring List, are subject to State-imposed restrictions and enforcement.
What does this mean for Alameda County residents and businesses?
Per State
guidance issued on July 1, counties that are on the Monitoring List are required to close indoor activities in the areas listed below for a minimum of three weeks. In addition, all brewpubs, breweries, bars, and pubs must close, both indoor and outdoor activities. At this time, these activities are not permitted per Alameda County Health Officer Orders, and residents and businesses should not experience
a change.

Statement from the Alameda County Health Care Services Agency:
Yesterday, July 10th, we learned the State issued updated guidance, dated July 9, prohibiting outdoor dining in non-variance counties, including Alameda County. While Alameda County's Health Officer Order allowed for outdoor dining, under this stricter State guidance, all restaurants, wineries and bars in Alameda County may only be open for drive-through or pickup/delivery options. Regardless of profession, COVID-19 sent millions of Americans to the unemployment line without warning. That is why local photographer Nina Pomeroy, Nina Pomeroy Photography is participating with Headshot Booker and Brookfield Properties in the largest,
single-day photo initiative that will provide 10,000 unemployed Americans nationwide with a complimentary, professional headshot to include with their resumes and post to job sites such as LinkedIn.

The COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program ("ERAP") has the objective of mitigating potential homelessness and displacement of existing Pleasanton residents who are experiencing a decrease in household income due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and thus, unable to pay their rent, by providing a grant to assist eligible tenants pay for delinquent rent.

Chamber cancels events due to COVID-19
|
Golf Tournament and both Tradeshow Mixers cancelled for 2020
The 2020 events calendar will have a different look for the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce and the business community with an announcement to cancel its annual golf tournament as well as its two tradeshow mixers for 2020 due to the uncertainties of COVID-19.
Those decisions come after careful consideration by the Chamber Board of Directors and staff and the responsibility to follow guidelines that have been set forth by the Alameda County Public Health Department for social distancing and limited attendance. In addition, those events are funded through sponsorships and participation from the business community. Due to the economic impact many have felt, the Chamber feels it is best to hold off at this time and focus on coming back strong.
The Golf Outing was set for August 7, 2020 at Callippe Preserve Golf Course in Pleasanton. The tournament, which has taken place on the first Friday in August for many years, has served as the main fundraising event for the Chamber, attracting around 115 golfers and countless sponsors.
The Tradeshow Mixers were slated for May 13, 2020 at The Club at Ruby Hill and November 4, 2020 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. The spring event had been postponed originally, with the hope of it taking place this summer. The tradeshow mixers traditionally attract more than 200 people and around 40 vendors, with food, drinks, networking and prizes.
