A program to develop community leaders
Leadership Pleasanton was created by the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce in 1988, and has produced more than 800 graduates in its 30-plus years.
In the Fall of each year, 30 individuals from local businesses, professional, government and service organizations as well as residents begin participating in monthly, day-long sessions, culminating in a graduation in May. Participants have the opportunity to go behind the scenes with current leaders in the community to learn what makes Pleasanton work. The Leadership Pleasanton program is committed to the betterment of our community and is open to everyone.
The Class of 2024 is underway and continued last week with its next day of the program - Pleasanton: Then and Now. If you're interested in being a part of a future Leadership Pleasanton class, email Yianna.

PG&E Program for Energy Efficient Upgrades
|
Helps businesses upgrade to new LED lights for $0 out of pocket
California Bill AB2208, signed into law in September 2022, bans the sale and distribution of fluorescent bulbs in California starting from January 1, 2024. The bill specifically targets screw or *bayonet base type compact fluorescent lamps, with a phase-out of pin-base type compact fluorescent lamps starting from January 1, 2025. The move is applauded by climate, clean air, worker safety, and public and environmental health advocates as it protects Californians and the planet from the dangers of mercury in these lamps.
"My goal is to help inform local businesses about a PG&E program that helps businesses upgrade to new LED lights for $0 out of pocket," said PG&E Trade Pro and Energy Efficiency Advisor Erik Wheelock. If you are interested in this program, contact Erik at 925.243.5637 or erik@everwattlights.com.
