Request to extend downtown's "A Weekend on Main" Program
The following letter was sent to the City of Pleasanton by Steve Van Dorn, Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce President/CEO

The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce would like to thank you and the entire City team responsible for making downtown's "A Weekend on Main" program such a huge success. We have heard nothing but positive comments from our members and the community on how much they have enjoyed visiting and supporting our downtown restaurants and businesses.
Knowing we are approaching the end date for this program, we are urging your support for extending it through at least the Labor Day Weekend and beyond. The downtown business community is following the county protocols thereby providing a safe environment for their patrons and employees. Discontinuing downtown's "A Weekend on Main" program could potentially devastate these businesses that are doing all they can to survive during the pandemic.

Thank you for considering our request and for all your support in helping our small businesses during these turbulent times.

Save the Date - Tri-Valley Mayors Summit
Amos Productions to live stream the event
The Tri-Valley Mayors Summit is set for Wednesday, August 26, 2020 and this year's event will be live streamed. This event has a broad audience reach including Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore, San Ramon and Danville. The host chamber rotates every five years between those cities and we are pleased to have Catharine Baker moderate the event.

In an effort to provide something different than just another zoom meeting, the Pleasanton Chamber is planning for the five mayors and the moderator to be together, in-person to record the event in a safe environment. Amos Productions will live stream the event for your viewing and it will also be available on the Chamber's website following the event. Stay tuned for details.

NIST Business Survey
The National Institute of Standards and Technology is conducting a survey and they're looking for your input.

We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic is disrupting your business. We hope to learn how businesses like yours are adapting to the circumstances and how this may or may not be connected to broader weather-related stressors your business may face.

Both your perspective and time are exceptionally precious, especially during these uncertain times. Our efforts will be greatly enhanced if you can spend a few minutes filling out this survey. We ask for no sensitive information and we will not identify you or your business. If your business has more than one location, please answer for only one location.

The purpose of this survey is to understand what support businesses like yours need and to communicate those to those who may be able to provide assistance. We'd like to learn about practices taken that have helped reduce the impact of COVID-19, especially in the face of future hazard events.

If you feel uncomfortable answering any of the questions, you can skip them, or exit the survey at any time. This survey should take less than 15 minutes to complete. You may opt to receive the aggregate results of the survey (at the end).
Field Space Available
Is your business or organization in need of outdoor fitness/exercise space?  The City of Pleasanton is expanding its efforts to support local businesses and non-profits by offering City parks/fields for rent for health and fitness activities. If you are interested in renting field space, please email Nilo Velazquez .
City of Pleasanton Permit Center
The City of Pleasanton is adhering to the Alameda County Public Health Department's order to shelter in place to limit the spread of COVID-19. While the order is in effect, most of the City's Permit Center services are being conducted online and by phone, and through in-person appointments for select limited services.  Starting today, Monday, July 27, Pleasanton Permit Center will begin limited in-person appointments for select limited services. Online and phone services will still be available.
