A program to develop community leaders | The Leadership Pleasanton Class of 2024 is underway and continued earlier this month with Local Government Day. Special thank you the City of Pleasanton staff for highlighting the City's programs, facilities and operations.
Leadership Pleasanton was created by the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce in 1988, and has produced more than 800 graduates in its 30-plus years.
In the Fall of each year, 30 individuals from local businesses, professional, government and service organizations as well as residents begin participating in monthly, day-long sessions, culminating in a graduation in May. Participants have the opportunity to go behind the scenes with current leaders in the community to learn what makes Pleasanton work. Pleasanton 2025 Forum Meeting
|
Quality of life by design, Pleasanton 2025 |
The Pleasanton Chamber hosts a bi-monthly meeting: Pleasanton 2025 Forum, bringing stakeholders together to focus community resources, time and talent to achieve greater understanding of issues, obstacles and opportunities related to Pleasanton 2025: A Community Vision.
Starting in February of 2024, the Pleasanton 2025 Forum will take on a new, important task for the Chamber: helping to develop the Chamber's Public Policy agenda. We will look for stakeholder input that can be translated into a cohesive policy statement on subjects such as water, health care, land use planning, taxation, and more. Your participation will be critical to ensuring each policy is crafted correctly, with the right focus and emphasis. Our meetings will continue to be held on the second Wednesday of each month, from 12:00 to 1:00p. More information will be sent to you in January. Contact James with any interest or questions.
