Christmas Eve at Valley Community Church |
“A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices.” You likely know this lyric from the classic Christmas carol, Joy to the World. While we live in a world that is weary, marred by sin, and filled with brokenness, there is still a thrill of hope to behold! This Christmas Eve, come and hear of this radiant hope and joy found only in Christ at Valley Community Church! You are warmly invited to a special candlelight service in which we will sing glad songs and hear the hope-filled message on how God’s love brings joy to a weary world.
Come early for coffee or hot cocoa and be sure to make time to capture a family picture at the photo ops provided in the lobby and outside. We look forward to celebrating with you and your family on this special day!

Good deeds deserve great rewards |
Stanford Blood Center is excited to announce the opening of a new Tri-Valley donor center in Dublin. The center aims to provide a convenient and welcoming space for local residents to donate blood and make a positive impact in their community.
It’s the season of giving, and there’s no better gift you can give than life-saving blood donations. With appointment cancellations due to illness and busy schedules, this is a particularly difficult time to collect blood for local patients. So, as a special thank-you, there are some exciting offers for donors:
-
Donate December 18 – December 31 and be automatically entered into our $3,000 Grocery Drawing. You could win an e-gift card for Whole Foods, Safeway, Target, Walmart, or even food delivery services like Instacart, Uber Eats or DoorDash.
- During the same dates, every donor will get 2000 bonus points to spend in the Stanford Blood Center Loyalty Store on a $20 e-gift card or other great items like t-shirts, drinkware, pet toys and more.
- Plus, donate on a Thursday at our Dublin center and receive a $20 Target gift card.

Quality of life by design, Pleasanton 2025 |
The Pleasanton Chamber hosts a bi-monthly meeting: Pleasanton 2025 Forum, bringing stakeholders together to focus community resources, time and talent to achieve greater understanding of issues, obstacles and opportunities related to Pleasanton 2025: A Community Vision.
Starting in February of 2024, the Pleasanton 2025 Forum will take on a new, important task for the Chamber: helping to develop the Chamber's Public Policy agenda. We will look for stakeholder input that can be translated into a cohesive policy statement on subjects such as water, health care, land use planning, taxation, and more. Your participation will be critical to ensuring each policy is crafted correctly, with the right focus and emphasis. Our meetings will continue to be held on the second Wednesday of each month, from 12:00 to 1:00p. More information will be sent to you in January. Contact James with any interest or questions.
