Ms. Temecia Shelton and Dr. Allyson Watson attended the annual FACTE conference in Orlando, Florida which focused on teacher education and clinical practice. There were multiple sessions around mental health awareness, optimizing clinical practice, new character embedded lessons (state statute-required) and school safety. The keynote speaker for the event is Dr. Paul Burns, Deputy Chancellor for Educator Quality.

Dean Damon Andrew, FSU College of Education was voted the 2019-2020 Chair for the FACTE SUS Dean's group, Dean Allyson Watson, FAMU College of Education Dean will serve as Associate Chair. A FACTE Education Summit is scheduled for April 2-3, 2020 in Tallahassee, Florida.
