Provost Directive | Charge for Student Success | November 1 Deadline

All colleges, deans and leadership team members are required to meet with members of the incoming freshman class in every major by November 1st, 2019. We will rely heavily on our Center for Student Success and our Candidate Empowerment Center to pull the students together for an all freshman COE meeting. We would love for all faculty to attend. A date will be announced soon.
Florida Association for Colleges of Teacher Education | Annual Conference 2019
Ms. Temecia Shelton and Dr. Allyson Watson attended the annual FACTE conference in Orlando, Florida which focused on teacher education and clinical practice. There were multiple sessions around mental health awareness, optimizing clinical practice, new character embedded lessons (state statute-required) and school safety. The keynote speaker for the event is Dr. Paul Burns, Deputy Chancellor for Educator Quality.
New State Leadership | FACTE SUS
Dean Damon Andrew, FSU College of Education was voted the 2019-2020 Chair for the FACTE SUS Dean's group, Dean Allyson Watson, FAMU College of Education Dean will serve as Associate Chair. A FACTE Education Summit is scheduled for April 2-3, 2020 in Tallahassee, Florida.
