 THE SYMPOSIUM

The Symposium book club will meet on Monday, January 21 at Princeton Seminary’s Center for Continuing Education. The meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Clarke Lounge in Erdman Hall (20 Library Place). The dining hall at MacKay Campus Center will be closed because of the Martin Luther King holiday, so we will be on our own to get dinner elsewhere.

The book for this month is Paul: A Biography by N.T. Wright. The author, a highly respected New Testament scholar, gives a well-researched and detailed analysis of the great apostle’s character and motivations and the cultural milieu in which he lived and worked. Jim Kraft will lead the discussion.

We look forward to seeing you. As always, guests are welcome.

REQUEST FROM REV. ERIN RAFFETY

My name is Erin Raffety—I’m the Associate Pastor at Grace Presbyterian Church and a Lecturer in Youth, Church, and Culture at Princeton Seminary. I’m teaching a course on Ministry with Older Adults this spring and I’m looking for congregations that have consistent older adult programming, Bible study, or fellowship that might be willing to receive a group of student visitors who are wanting to see ministry in action and get to know some older folks. I have plenty of contacts at residential facilities, but am eager to connect with a congregation that is passionate about older adult ministry.
Please do reach out to me if you might be interested in helping our students with some hands-on experience. Thanks so much! I can be reached at erin.raffety@ptsem.edu
