WORLD DAY OF PRAYER AT PENNINGTON CHURCH
Friday, March 1, 2019

We are pleased to invite our neighboring churches to share with us in this annual experience. This year's service was developed by a committee of women in Slovenia. This is an interfaith and ecumenical service.

One phrase in the worship service captures the ideas that the service explores: "Welcoming God, in your love, you have prepared a table for all, and you inspire us to open our hearts and our homes to offer a place to the ones who are not yet at the table." You may learn more about the service, the tradition of WDP, and about Slovenia at  http://www.wdp-usa.org/

The event begins with a complimentary, light lunch of bread, cheese, and Slovenian minestrone-style (Primorska) soup, and beverages at 12:30 pm in Upper Titus Hall, and the service follows at 1 pm in the sanctuary, with time for discussion afterward. Pennington Presbyterian Older Adult Ministry Committee is the sponsor. Those with questions may contact Rev. Dr. Nancy Schluter with questions through the church office at [email protected] or 609-737-1221, x-10.

Please share information and our invitation to this service with your congregation. Click here for a downloadable poster you may display and a bulletin insert with interesting information.
