Hollister High School was recently notified by the College Board that it has been named to the Advanced Placement (AP) Program Honor Roll, earning bronze recognition for developing an AP program that creates a college-going culture and gives students opportunities to earn college credit and maximize their college outcomes. Hollister High is also being honored with the 2023 AP Access Award for ensuring AP coursework is equally available to students no matter their background. In 2019, Hollister High School was one of 17 districts in California and among just 250 in the nation and Canada named to the 10th annual AP District Honor Roll. Click the links to learn more:

Congratulations to the Baler Athletes of the Week for October 2-6: water polo players Isaac Nordstrom and Gema Prieto. From Boys Varsity Water Polo Coach Nordstrom: "Isaac leads the team in scoring, field blocks and assists. On top of that. he takes on the toughest opponents."

From Girls Varsity Water Polo Coach Simmons: "Our 'G' is a breath of fresh air. You will never meet someone more genuinely kind, sweet, hard-working, talented, and dedicated. She has dedicated herself to the sport and the team by always wanting to learn, applies what she is taught, and lifts those around her as she goes. She holds us together and inspires us to keep moving forward. It’s always a good day when our girl 'G' is around!"

This Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 6:30-7:30 p.m., the community is invited to Calaveras School and Accelerated Achievement Academy for the fifth of 10 K-8 Listening and Learning Sessions regarding a second high school in the San Benito High School District. Families and community members from any school or district are encouraged to attend the session at 1151 Buena Vista Road in Hollister.

There will be an informational meeting for parents and students about a tour of Ireland in July of 2024 on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m. in Rob Campbell's classroom (Room 204) at Hollister High School. Hollister High School and South County Cal-SOAP invite students of all ages and their parents or guardians to the annual College Fair at Hollister High School Mattson Gym on Thursday, October 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. More than 30 college representatives will be ready to answer all questions about admissions, tuition, student life, housing, and more. Join us for this great event on October 26th.
