Fact of the Day
There are four types
● Sensorineural hearing loss, which means there is a problem occurring in either the inner ear or the auditory nerve, which delivers sound to the brain.
● Conductive hearing loss, which means sound is not reaching the inner ear, usually due to an obstruction or trauma.
● Mixed, which is a combination of the two.
● Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder, which means hearing loss that occurs when sound enters the ear normally, but because of damage to the inner ear or the hearing nerve, sound isn’t organized in a way that the brain can understand.
