• Keep communication on the platform. Be cautious if someone asks to move the conversation to text or email right away.
• Avoid overpayments. Scammers may “accidentally” send too much and ask you to refund the difference.
• Use trusted payment methods. Stick with cash or secure, verified payment options when possible.
• Don’t share personal details. There’s no need to provide account numbers, codes, or sensitive information to complete a sale.
