NEW--Latest in the Fight Against COVID-19-- The Department of Health announce 12 more clinics offering free COVID-19 boosters, school readiness vaccines Click HERE
The FDA has granted full approval for Pfizer Vaccine for individuals ages 16 and older and full Moderna vaccine for ages 18 and older. Emergency use authorization for both in effect for individuals 6months-17yrs of age. Click HERE for more details.
The Anne Arundel County Department of Health will begin to offer COVID-19 vaccines to children under the age of 5 years starting on Tuesday, June 21st. For more information on COVID-19 vaccines, please visit the Anne Arundel County Department of Health's website HERE.
Maryland Omicron Preparedness/NEW Testing Site-- The state of Maryland has announced new measures to maintain preparedness in light of the new Omicron variant. MDH has added a state-run testing site at Anne Arundel Medical Center, open daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for walk-in PCR tests only. This site only offers PCR testing (no at-home test kits will be provided).

$20,000 Grant for Businesses for Pandemic Recovery
Small businesses can apply now through August 26, 2022 for a BGE Energizing Small Business Grant. The program assists small businesses with COVID-19 relief and recovery, up to $20,000 and is a multi-year commitment expected to run through at least 2023.

Teachers in Maryland who are National Board Certified earn up to an additional $17,000 under the Blueprint for Maryland's Future policy passed by the General Assembly in 2020, w/ Del. Henson's support. AACPS supports teachers pursuing National Board Certification by funding part of their tuition and MSDE, provides support meetings, and mentorship.

Loan Program
Like borrowing a library book, residents can borrow a piece of assistive technology and test it out for up to three weeks to see if it works well for them. Help is also provided to find resources to purchase the equipment for long-term use.

Families seeking baby formula are advised to contact your local Women, Infant & Child (WIC) Office for assistance in locating products and or making changes to your WIC food benefits if you are Maryland WIC Participant.
