A Message from County Executive
Adam J. Bello:
As school starts up again and school buses are back on the road, it’s a good time to focus on traffic safety. The Spencerport School District is the latest to join our School Bus Safety Program, which equips school buses with cameras to record incidents of drivers who ignore stop arms, drive by stopped school buses, and put children’s lives in danger. Drivers are issued citations and fines, which cover the cost of the program, making it free to participating school districts. You can hear more about the program’s impact from Randy, a Greece school bus driver, below. In other news, the ESL Rochester Fringe Festival is back and better than ever! Monroe County is proud to sponsor this performing arts extravaganza, making free shows like “Submergence,” “Traces,” and the Pedestrian Drive-In, all at Dawn’s Spiegelgarden, possible. From September 9-20, more than 600 performances will entertain Rochestarians and visitors alike at venues across the city – be sure to visit rochesterfringe.com and check out a show!
Best wishes for a safe and healthy Fall,
Adam
