Monroe County Board of Education Meeting on Tuesday February 12 at 530 pm.

The Monroe County Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 5:30pm. The meeting will start in the Board of Education Auditorium.

MPHS Global Classroom is collecting used sneakers to recycle

Clean out your closet and help us raise money for a great cause! The MPHS Global Classroom is collecting used sneakers to recycle. Donations of any size are accepted. No dress shoes or sandals, please. Donations can be dropped off at the MPHS main campus office or with Ms. Chung (Room 507) or Ms. Calhoun (Room 509).

Monore County Schools transportation app My Ride K12. Tracke your students bus.

Parents and students can access their bus stop location, route, and pick up time on the Tyler's My Ride K-12 mobile app. The app uses vehicle GPS geolocation to show bus arrivals each day.

How to access the My Ride K-12 mobile application

1. Download “My Ride K-12” from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

2. After the app installation is complete, open My Ride K-12.

3. When prompted to find your school district, search for the name of the school district your child attends. If you need assistance, please contact your school district.

4. Once you have selected your district, you will proceed to the login page. If you do not already have a registered email, click ‘Register’.

5. To register, enter your email address, password, and name.

6. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email. Click on the link in your email to confirm your registration through the My Ride K-12 website.

7. Log in, then find a student by going to My Students and choosing the + button. This will present the Add Student screen.

8. Enter your child's student ID (lunch number) and birthdate (MM/DD/YYYY) to find your student. Repeat this step to add additional students. If you need assistance, please contact your school district.

9. Once you have linked to a student, click on that student’s profile to see all relevant transportation information.

10. Press the ‘Share’ button to share a student link with someone else. Enter the email of the person you would like to share with. That person will receive a confirmation email that will automatically link them to the shared student(s). Recipients must register with My Ride K-12, if they have not already done so, to access the student information.

11. Regularly check for updates to ensure that your device is running the latest version of the app.

12. Remain logged in to the app to receive district notifications, even when the app is not actively running.

The MPHS JROTC held their annual 8th grade recruiting Drive Event where the JROTC cadets demonstrated the many activities they do in the JROTC program. The 8th graders observed the Raiders building a rope bridge, JROTC Physical Training on the Obstacle Course, Drill Team and Color Guard demonstration, and the Rifle team shooting some targets on the new electronic range, Over 100 8th graders showed interest JROTC program and with a good turnout next year, we could make our JROTC Corps of Cadets the biggest group ever!

7th annual 5k fit to achieve

The Monroe County Achievement Center is hosting its 7th Annual Fit to Achieve 5K on March 23, 2024. As part of our service-learning project for our students, we are promoting a healthy lifestyle by encouraging everyone to exercise and make healthy food choices. The race is a 5K course beginning and ending at the Monroe County Achievement Center. Race timing will be provided by Hardy Race Timing Services, LLC. All proceeds will be used to enhance the educational experience of the students at the Monroe County Achievement Center. We hope that you are able to participate!


Just like last year, we also reward the school with the most participants!


When: March 23, 2024

Time: 7:00 AM Check-In; 5K begins at 8:00 AM

Pre-K registration will begin on Monday, April 15 at 8:30 a.m. The process will be solely online this year. You will click the registration link on the top of our district or school websites. From there, you will be prompted to fill out the registration application and upload your required documents (listed below). You will not need to bring them to the board office. Once you've submitted your application, it will be time-stamped to indicate the order we receive them. Pre-K slots will be filled on a first-come, first served basis, so don't wait.
