BIG PEACH CAR WASH NAMED FRIEND OF EDUCATION

Big Peach Car Wash Named Friend of Education

The Monroe County Board of Education named Big Peach Car Wash a "Friend of Education" at its November 14 meeting. A “Friend of Education” is a person or business that is making a profound and positive impact on students, staff, and the community through supporting Monroe County Schools.

Big Peach Car Wash opened its first location in Forsyth on July 7, 2021. Its owners, Wes Cone, Todd Rivers, Jon Shepherd, and Jeffrey Shepherd have been staunch supporters of our community and school system ever since. Shortly thereafter, they launched a fundraising initiative that took off like wildfire. Our student groups love to host car wash fundraisers at Big Peach.

Examples of support from Big Peach include:

  1. Providing employment opportunities for Mary Persons High School students
  2. Providing spirit days to support individual students, school and system clubs, as well as athletic teams
  3. Supporting our schools’ PBIS incentive programs
  4. Supporting fundraising activities through various clubs, organizations, and extracurricular programs
  5. Supporting teacher appreciation and national education weeks
  6. We greatly appreciate their generosity and support of our students, parents, and staff in this community. Monroe County Schools looks forward to continuing the partnership with Big Peach Car Wash in order to promote the academic success of our students.

We are honored to include Big Peach Car Wash as a Friend of Education in Monroe County Schools.
