Congratulations to our 2023 Rising Stars and Top Scholars! Great job maintaining straight As this year!

The Forsyth-Monroe Chamber Foundation recognizes students in the middle school grades from Monroe County Middle School who have maintained all A's on their report cards throughout the school year.

2023 MCS Transportation Awards Banquet

Our Monroe County Schools Transportation Team came together for a night of food, fun, and awards. They also took time to honor one of their own, because in this family, no one fights alone.

MCMS 7th and 8th Grade FLL Robotics Team, Coding Canines, traveled to Long Beach, CA, to compete at the National Tournament, Western Edge Invitational. The group of ten 7th and 8th graders earned the opportunity to compete against 75 other teams from around the country and the world!

While our Coding Canines did not place in the top 5 in an area, they did receive TWO Gracious Professionalism Tokens. Tokens were not easily attained. For example, one token was awarded to the team for breaking language barriers during On-The-Spot. Monroe County is proud of the hard work, effort, and professionalism our students exhibited during the entirety of the competition.

2023 Fit to Achieve 5K

Our 6th Annual Fit to Achieve 5K was a success! Thanks to everyone who participated, donated, or volunteered for this event!

Congratulations to the following 5K participants for winning in their various groups:

MPHS JROTC spent some time with the 5th graders at KB Sutton Elementary School last week introducing the students to the JROTC program.

MPHS JROTC spent some time with the 5th graders at K.B Sutton Elementary School last week introducing the students to several of the activities of the JROTC program. One station focused on drill movements, while another on the numerous Physical Training activities done in JROTC. The last station was an obstacle challenge where students had to reorganize on board. Stepping off resulted in the JROTC favorite - push-ups!

Everyone had a great time and we all look forward to doing this again next year. Thanks to all the Elementary schools for letting the JROTC program come out and work with the 5th grade classes this year.

Sail On Beach Boys Tribute Band Concert June 10 2023 at 730pm. Held at Monroe County Fine Arts Center. Tickets 20 to 25 dollars.

The Monroe County Public School will be destroying old Special Education records in July 2023. The records scheduled to be destroyed are for persons who were served in special education and born in 2001. If you desire to have your records call 478-994-2031

The voice of central georgia sports is now the broadcast home of Mary Persons sports SportsMic.

SportsMic will broadcast all Mary Persons Football games, including the May 19th Spring Game. Additionally, SportsMic will broadcast some MP Basketball and Baseball games.
