Mont Ripley is Preparing to Welcome You Back for our 87th Season
Ski Well, Be Well
Ski Well, Be Well is a motto adopted by Mont Ripley and The Midwest Ski Area Association in conjunction with The National Ski Areas Association who are committed to bringing you the safest ski season possible during COVID-19.

Social distancing protocols are in place for
both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Be Courteous At All Times
Although many things will look different,
being outside on the slopes sliding at Mont Ripley remains virtually unchanged. You'll still be able to enjoy the most snow in the Midwest!

Skiing and snowboarding can be safe and fun, but remember to give people their space, both on and off the slopes, in common areas and even in the parking lot!

Mont Ripley Protocols, Procedures, and Restrictions
The State of MI is currently under a mask mandate until further notice.

Mont Ripley is complying with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Emergency Order, and restrictions put in place by the National Ski Area Association and Michigan Technological University. The order and University policy states that face coverings must be worn indoors at all times and outdoors when unable to consistently maintain a distance of six feet or more from individuals who are not members of their household.

While enjoying your time at Mont Ripley, please respect the new protocols and procedures that have been put in place to protect our patrons and community.
Just remember; face masks, gloves and goggles have always been required by Old Man Winter!

Online Shop
All Season Passes, Daily Tickets, Tube Park Tickets and Equipment Rentals are now purchasable through our new online shop. Online purchases can be picked-up at our new Outside Ticket Window. (Soon to be located on the upper deck of the East side of the chalet)

Rentals will be picked up at a new outdoor station (soon to be located outside the door of rental on the lower level) We strongly encourage Seasonal Renters to use our new online reservation form to reserve your rental equipment with date and time for pick-up and we'll have your gear ready for you to pick-up outside.

Purchasing everything in advance will
reduce your wait time and eliminate your need to come inside the chalet.
Stay Outdoors, Stay Safe
Space restrictions inside the chalet means staying outside more. For the comfort of our guests, we are adding additional covered outdoor seating and warming areas in addition to the main chalet and race room. These areas will be designated for ticket holders wishing to warm up.

To insure the safety of our guests and staff, please observe capacity limitations
posted on the doors of each area.

Outdoor recreation, including skiing and snowboarding, is proven to improve mental and physical health of the participants.
Mont Ripley has over 100 acres for you to explore and enjoy.
At Mont Ripley, all the fun is outside!
We'll still be serving
the best burgers and fries in town!
Huski Cafe Will Be Open
Ordering at the Huski Cafe this season will be done through an app (still in development) or a call-in system to limit your wait time indoors. Look for more information and instructions coming soon.

With limited indoor capacity we will reserve main chalet seating to those dining at the Huski Cafe. Please refrain from storing shoes, and bags in the main chalet.
Keep Your Distance
Ski lifts provide constant airflow and can be loaded to allow for social distancing.

Please maintain a tip to tail distance while waiting in the lift lines. For our younger guests with smaller skis and boards, bamboo markers will help keep a safe distance.

If you come together, ride together. Otherwise, please ask about sharing a chairlift prior to getting on.
Please be kind and respect the requests
of the lift operators.

The Mont Ripley staff is tirelessly working to prepare Mont Ripley for the safest ski season possible. Please know that we are putting you, our guests and our community first when making plans to reopen.

Please feel free to contact us with questions or concerns at 906-487-2340 or email ripleyoffice@mtu.edu for further information.

Thank you for your continued support of Mont Ripley. We look forward to seeing you on the slopes again this season. Until then...Think Snow.
